There’s a fun story that goes with this shot. I was out working on my night photography project for school in March 2009. Since the days start getting longer around then, our sunset was at about 6:00 or so. I finally got to the site at what I thought was 9:30 and realized the park closed at 11:00. I set up for some long exposures and proceeded to do an exposure that would take an hour and a half. Sitting and waiting in my car and closing in on the end of the exposure, the police pull up behind me with their lights flashing. Apparently it was past 11:00 and I had failed to spring the cars clock ahead. His lights caused the squiggles across the frame, creating one of those happy accidents, which were duplicated when I bumped the tripod closing the shutter. Not the image I had planned, but I love it just the same!
