The image was painted on 140lb Arches watercolor paper with Winsor-Newton paints. The size of the painting is approx 14×21”. I hardly did any pre-planning for it . A bit of masking along shapes from a different painting, a bit of wax rubbed on with a candle, lots of paint poured in almost random places, a sprinkle of salt – and this is the result. Usually I know what I want to convey in a painting but I’m not sure what if anything I wanted to express here. It was more of an instinctive process heavily influenced by fragments of dreams. So, the question is- does anyone have a clue what it’s saying? :) / Any comments, technical, artistic, philosophical – all welcome. Contact me for information about purchasing the original.
