Most people have cats or dogs as pets, but not this little miss. She’s adores insects and has made friends with a darling little blue caterpillar. The name ‘inchworm’ is from a song in the 1952 film, Hans Christian Anderson – which I’m fairly sure was redone by the Muppets. :) ..................♥ the fine print ♥…............... The male counterpart to my other painting “Fallen Angel”. Here, again, the person and his shadow are reversed. Thus transforming him into a shadow of his former self. Hence the title. . . Hands have always been a challenge to me. As a young artist I would go out of my way to avoid all drawings of hands or hide them. As an adult I realized it was time to take on my lack of ability to make it a challenge. Here is one of my earlier attempts a study of hands.

pencil on paper (Stonehenge) drawing As if so often the case, I’ll work on these for a long time and about a month before they are finished, a title will pop into my head – or I’ll stumble on just the right word. That’s what happened here. / I don’t know if this little girl has found a home, but I believe she is being protected and watched over by some strong forces. This also has a bit of humor in it. While working on it, my little niece Miss Kylee D strolled in – took one look and said, “Aunty Cindy, is that ME?!”. And I told her that I was using her hair as my guide and some of her face. She giggled then added, “you drew my booby!”
