The ideal was to bring out the sensual side of womanhood and to create a calendar that will be a nice companion for you during 2010. Although not the Disney version, the Hans Christian Andersen version, in which they’re a little wilder and more ethereal, and she dissolves into foam at the end. This was quite fun, I played with very washed out paint for the water and foam, it needs less blending after. / The tail is metallic paint, the hair is a mix. The eyes were annoying.   • Acrylic on canvas. Hair Art collection 2009. This current collection is all based on images that I see in my hair. / Long story short. For several years I’ve been photographing my hair on the shower wall. I then study the image and find the picture with in the lines of the hair. Thus the Collection Hair Art. / I love taking something that is finnished in this world and finding beauty still. / Something most would find a little disgusting or gross. No one likes hair in the drain. / Most of my pieces also have texture created by hand cutting stencils and hours of applications. I also use glazes and removal techniques for effect and texture.
