This is a type of atmospheric halo, shot during the early afternoon almost directly overhead.
flock of waterfowl fly into a fiery sunset. Taken at Eagle Bluffs CA, near Columbia, Missouri.
I created this out of a boring sky pic, that I was going to delete but never did- maybe because I liked the ripples in the sky. Well I cropped then mirrored it, and played with the colors until it turned out like this. :)

So I’m afraid that a close-up of an eye with various work in photoshop may be a bit cliché- but enough people have done it that I don’t have a particular example to credit as my inspiration. Created in photoshop with a picture I took of my eye (next to the sink :) ) and a picture of a campfire from this summer. I now also have a second in a series of element eye images Awash – let me know what you think, I think I like Ablaze better but it will be cool when I have all of them… /

Oil on canvas, 2006. 1000×1000mm In this painting I am exploring a connection with pure energy and the journey which that entails. It is also, however, speaking of a particular moment on that journey – the moment in which the essence that we all share is transforming. It is a fusion and transmutation of all the elements … fire turning to water, air turning to earth. This could be a small moment or a momentous one – but at that point the entire Universe is at play. I started with one feather-like fractal created in Apophpysis, copied, layered and a multitude of other manipulations to create this mandala. A fiery image honoring the Summer Solstice.
Yes I know, another sunset shot of the Noosa River, Noosaville, Queensland, Australia. I just can’t help myself, I love this time of day and place, and I have to say, this afternoons sunset was the best yet. I honestly had to desaturate this shot. It was amazing orange, everything around you was glowing orange, the sky lit up!! My wife even said at the time, she had never seen anything like it. Canon 50D, 10mm, 20% desaturate, as the raw was just too orange… Available Large, and best viewed Large.. The full size print of this can be 1.5 metres x 1 metre.
