After a summer storm, this rainbow appeared in the pasture behind our house. My daughter followed me out into the field while I took a few pictures and then we both turned to walk back in. When I glanced back at her she was still peering up into the sky at the rainbow and something about that moment really captured my heart as I became acutely aware of how transient both rainbows and childhood are. Her reluctance to turn her back on the stunning beauty that was still suspended in the sky was a reminder to me that we must never turn our back on childhood dreams. / / “Childhood Dreams” was the winning photograph submitted to Midwest Living Magazine which awarded me with the prize of a Flip video!
