A view of Worcester Cathedral England across a ploughed field. Worcester like many other places in Englnd has just experienced the worst flooding in history according to some experts. Last month, the ploughed field in the image was covered in several metres of water. Living in Malvern which is a hill town, I was lucky to escape the worst of the floods but most of the surrounding towns were affected very badly with no electricity, water and general chaos. I am pleased to say that the sun has come out now and people are picking up the pieces and their lives are returning to normal. / Lisa x
The sun in universal carnage sets, / And, halting higher, / The motionless storm-clouds mass their sullen threats, / Like an advancing mob in sword-points penned, / That, balked, yet stands at bay. / Mid-zenith hangs the fascinated day / In wind-lustrated hollows crystalline. Edith Wharton

A TTV shot I took through the viewfinder of my Yashica SLR… / First time I’ve ever tried doing it for real and I was quite pleased with the results – particularly the numbers on the right. An experiment trying out TTV for the first time. / I know it works best through TLR camera viewfinders for the dirty look but I don’t have one- my SLR had to do. I still found that there was that slightly warped look to the image – that simply doesn’t exist on digital TTV (photoshopped) shots, so I’m pretty pleased with it.
