Finding The Lost Civilization of Reimini Day 17…. / Finding the lost civilization of Reimini was the most treacherous trek we had ever made in our 22 yrs of archaeology. We lost many along the way but when we arrived we were astonished at the architectural design and still standing structures. It appeared to be preserved by the icy colds of the mountainous range of Reimite in the southern hemisphere. Strange devices and tools were found unlike any mankind had used in history. It was almost alien like until we found a skeleton of what we hoped was a native to this era. The bones were similar to our own but the abdominal cavity showed traces of what appeared to have been 2 stomaches. Upon further examination 2 hearts once occupied this individual. My husband and I had first heard of the Reimini by an old ex-C.I.A. agent who specialized in covert ops. He was sent to the region some 16 yrs ago to retrieve a box from the location, he never opened it. But kept a map of the location all these years and told us he saw strange things their and structures unlike any built in the last 2000 yrs. Image & Text Copyright © 2008 Lisa Weber. Inspired by early Marathon concept art, in this piece I have evoked the shadowy, industrial back alleys in the slums of a futuristic utopian city. The character is mysterious, looming ominously from the fog with sabotage and subterfuge in mind. Created from various pencil thumbnails and sketches, and refined with Photoshop painting and textures from my personal library!

Have you ever felt as if you are alone in a crowded room, or that the world is burning around you and no one notices the smoke? We as a people are in many ways treating the planet just like that, ignoring the pleas and screams for help, content in our tiny personal universes oblivious of the damage manifesting in front of our eyes. I wonder if it will take us being isolated into the final last mountain top remaining able to sustain life prior to our awakening to the critical nature of our precarious existence. We are on the crossroads able to choose two paths ahead, one leads humanity into darkness into which we may never recover and the alternative leads into a world of phenomenal wonders and breathtaking beauty which fills our spirit with joy. Which path do you choose? Artwork created with Vue Infinite

We now know it is good fortune to run across a Mook, the largest inhabitant of this planet, about the size of a small villiage, and they’re fascinated with all humans much like Earth’s whales and dolphins are. / The first encounter with a Mook was by a crew member who’d fallen into a very deep crevasse, injured, and the Mook had gently pulled him to safety, then proceeded to softly “pat” our survivor on the head and shoulders while sending out a low frequency sonar-type signal. Later our crew member described “fear was quickly replaced by a feeling of well being and comfort, and being petted by such a giant creature resembled being tapped lightly with a balloon animal”. / Since then we have learned Mooks munch on the lichens, float in the sunlight doing a kind of photosynthesis, and they are always attracted to human activities. Also, if you give one a marshmallow, it’ll follow you around like a puppy. We like Mooks, they like us. Bunny’s lovely original fractal Elegance of Light: and the converted terrain object:

May I introduce two galactic travellers? This couple comes from a planet of a very distant galaxy. Somehow their spaceship broke down, and now they are feeling lost, trying to catch a wurmhole which would carry them closer to their homeplanet….. / Maybe we should whish them some luck! / :-) / ______ This digital painting is based on a fractal made in Apophysis and a selfrendered planet image. The 4th piece of my Flyland Series. / This song inspired me After the explosion of the planet which created the soaring islands, this bride was separated from the one she wanted to marry. Her knight soared away on another Flyland…....and she stayed alone with his horse and thanks God – this old hut which gives her shelter. She is so thankful for the grass growing on this little Flyland, and the straw in the hut….it keeps her warm at night and helps to feed the horse. / She wonders if she will meet her knight again, she doesn’t even know whether he survived…...... / _____ Thanks a bunch to Joseph Auquier for the stockfoto of the lady on the horse. / _____ / Digital Painting done in painter, based on a 3D Vue Rendering and some postwork. By the time we got to Little Milton, the weather had changed…whose idea was it any way to go down on this weekend of all weekends….after all it was Christmas…Pamela had extended the invitation weeks ago, and none of us were keen on the idea then…a remote place…a house no one had seen, or heard of…Wren House?...the name conjured up nothing but a sense of moulding age…on Friday someone, maybe Tom, who was always bored and looking for excitement, made what seemed now to be an idiotic suggestion, that we should all drive down and visit old Pam…the day started out fine and we were in great spirits…even the ancient Rover seemed in good form as we rolled out of the city…it was just after dawn so there was no traffic, but by mid afternoon the wind changed, and it became very noticeable that there was no heat in the car…after the mornings hilarity, silence grew till it was almost palpable…even Dahlia’s feeble attempts to continue telling jokes fell flat….the sky grew much darker, and flurries of snow mixed with rain battered the windshield….Mark’s driving, erratic even in good weather, became downright dangerous on the treacherous roads over the downs…suddenly the old faithful car seemed to make a last gasp for breath and then died….peering out at the unfamiliar landscape we knew the worst… we had now lost our way...Janis (fiction..A Weekend in the Country) Watercolour on Clayboard..part of the Winter Landscape Collection, which is now featured on my art pages...HERE / And HERE / Effet De Neige
