The root of the word is ʼḏn “to permit”, and another derivative of this word is uḏun, meaning “ear.” This is the minaret of Kairouyine mosque in Fes. Taken on November 1st, 2008. Needs noise reduction, but as mentioned in a few previous photos, I haven’t found a good method of reducing noise. Shot at ISO800 due to low available light. I tend to find pictures of Fez more appealing when in B&W. Used exposure blending to darken the background a bit. Gloucester, Virginia
