I have never been an insect fan, but I must admit I had quite a pleasure shooting some this summer. I had the chance to observe this insect for a long time. this flower reminded me how beautiful people having infirmities are. At first, many of us would just see the infirmity, how different it looks and some may also find it ugly or feel repulsed, even being a little afraid. But then, getting to know the person, seeing him/her with different eyes, even love maybe, he/she just appears to us to be so beautiful ! / so I had to shoot this flower and make it look beautiful … / ... / /

I picked a bunch of purple cabbage leaves from the vegie garden with the intention of spending a session in the studio with them. As with most things it seems, I got sidetracked, and six months later rediscovered my stash, which in the interim had dried out and taken on a whole new persona.
