Another view of Glasgow Cathedral during Radiance 07. Glasgow Cathedral is built on the site where St Kentigern, or Mungo, the first bishop within the ancient British kingdom of Strathclyde, was thought to have been buried in AD 612. The present cathedral was built during the 13th to 15th centuries and is the only medieval cathedral on the Scottish mainland to have survived the 1560 Reformation virtually complete.

Merry Christmas!
I refuse to think about Christmas until advent, but have to admit it is advent now.
These festive birds enjoy a snowy tree filled with ornaments. Watercolor & Ink
My feet are frozen and my fingers are so stiff that I keep dropping my little wireless shutter release in the crackling snow. It’s seems to me that it’s getting colder by the minute, but we are here to make photos of the Christmas shopping atmosphere, and photos I will do! My sister is shivering, thinking of getting inside somewhere for a cup of hot coffee, but stopping at every ten steps to make just another shot… Now I’m almost finished with this fireplace shot, my teeth are chattering, and in just a few seconds, I’ll be able to lift my hands close to the fire and blissfully warm my frozen digits. My sister is dragging me toward the closest coffee shop, and as soon as we step in, we are told that it is now past closing time… Drat! After a few minutes we finally find another one, still open, where we thaw out a bit before going back to shoot some more, until we’re out of battery power. This is what I call a fantastic night! Shooting this bauble on a giant Christmas tree enabled me to transform the subject itself into a fisheye lens, thereby producing an interesting image of everything behind me. If you look closely, you can actually see a slight coating of dust on the very top of the bauble. PS: Yes, I know red and green are the traditional Christmas colours, but I didn’t wear that red T-shirt on purpose! I do not crop, enhance or post-edit my images in any way. Shot with a Pentax K100D, using a Sigma 70-300mm lens. F5.6, 1/30 sec, ISO 800, focal length 300mm. Featured in FRIENDS OF RED BUBBLE, November 2009. Featured in IT’S IN THE DETAIL, December 2009. A lovely little xmas tree showing its love.
A card that could be used for Xmas or New Year greetings. / Created in my favourite colour, purple, from original photos taken whilst walking around a local shopping centre (camera Olympus 1030sw without flash). Composed in PSE. / I wish all my friends (at least 50, I hope) a happy & healthy Xmas. / Musical greeting from Australia: Many thanks to the hosts of ADWAG for honouring this work by featuring it in their great group. /
I’ll be home for Christmas / You can plan on me / Please have snow / And mistletoe / And presents under the tree / Chrismas Eve will find me / Where the lovelight gleams / I’ll be home for Christmas / If only in my dreams I’ll Be Home For Christmas (Acapella) (click to listen to me sing to you.) Me, our Christmas Tree, a lot of photoshop magicking to adjust hue saturation and get my tones the way I wanted them, accentuating the colours I wanted to, and layers and layers of Jamie’s and my original texture make up this festive manipulation. And, I recorded I’ll Be Home For Christmas especially for this piece. Oh, and the gorgeous photo hanging on the wall behind the tree is one of Jamie’s prints. :) Part of my Christmas Collection.
