  • Vibrant, flamboyant panting of the colorful homes and harbours found in the Atlantic Canada provinces and in the Maine, New England areas. I spent many vacations with my family in these beautiful quarters and there is something so heart warming about the architecture, harbours, the many seaside shops, cafes, and restaurants; and of course the beautiful ocean and all the fishing boats and seagulls. It reminds me of summer and the way it should be.

This morning..we made it to the aerodrome for 5am and had an awesome and exhilarating time watching the balloons inflate for take off at sunrise and then over 90 hot air balloons rise in the sky all around us. It was an amazing experience.

  • The original acrylic painting measures 23.25×36.75. It’s done on masonite that was first coated with gesso and then tissue paper, sand and beads were glued onto the surface using acrylic medium. I love the effect that I get using the combination of tissue paper and acrylic paint. The other materials added further texturing in what has turned out to be one of my favorite paintings so far this year.
