How fun! These are old cast iron farm equipment seats shown at a local tractor festival this past weekend. The man who owned them has over 600 of them, most dated pre-1900s. this is my daughter’s shot – I love the different colors. Yes, folks… we do have TRACTOR festivals in Texas! We also throw buffalo chips, but I won’t get into that… Oct 08 Update: Thanks to everyone who voted for this photo to be Country Magazine’s Rural Photo of the Year. It made the top 4!!! E.

Hey guys I am organising a Creative Arts Festival for a charity in the UK and was wondering if any of you would like to buy a stall there, or be interested in buying exhibition space? This is going to be in Victoria Square, Birmingham (with SO much exposure) in April 2008. The stalls could cost anywhere from £400 to £800 depending on the size however I am working out the details for combined exhibition spaces that artists, designers and photographers can get together and hire. The festival will also include food stalls, handicrafts, alcohol, floral designs, jewellery, (unknown) designer clothes, music, dance, drama, musicals, etc. Please let me know if you are interested as soon as you can before the stalls run out. Also, would RedBubble be interested in sponsoring and/or buying a stall to showcase their artists?? Remember, this is for a charity so be generous! ;) What do I get out of this if it’s for a charity? I get public relations, contacts and experience to do it bigger and better the next time! Thanks Faizan / Director – Tutti Art PS: Please comment and favourite this so it can get good exposure. Remember, this is for a good cause!
Keeping warm was a challenge at this year’s Christmas parade. A number of local businesses gave out free coffee, cookies, and hot chocolate to help parade-goers maintain a healthy temperature. / ........................................................................ / / / ..................................... / Click here to add me to your watch list. / .....................................
India is a rich land of festivals. We here in this part of the world believe in God in both FORM & FORMLESS. Of the many forms that we believe in there is a unique thread which again abide them to ONE form, taking this journey further to FORMLESS and there by to enlightenment. The whole complexion of FORM and FORMLESS is so interesting, it takes you in different dimensions all the time. Here, I am presenting magnifiscent photograph of the Goddess of Power – DURGA this time. We, here, celebrate festival of NAVRATRI ( a sequel of 9 days & night in which DURGA had sestroyed the demon power in a war ) in the month of September & October. I did this piece for the “Mid-Autumn Festival” (also known as the “moon festival”). The Mid-Autumn Festival falls on the 15th day of the 8th lunar month of the Chinese calendar (usually around mid- or late-September in the Gregorian calendar), that is September 14, this year. Chinese celebrates this festival by gathering family members together for a big meal, we have very beautiful lanterns (children love them), we have moon cakes and a lot of fruit while we gaze at the nice and round moon with our loved ones.

A Katoomba local with his pet cockatoo. She’s 2 years old and named Flossie! She seemed quite content sitting on her owners knee… even with all the festivities happening all around her. Taken outside one of the cafe’s in Katoomba during the Winter Magic Festival this year. Finished in the top ten of the ‘People I have met along the way’ challenge in the Mood and Ambience group.
Best viewed larger.. I took a simple shot of some popular drinks and then hardened and darkened the colors,,, the outcome is much more festive and fantasy-like! panasonic lumix dmc lz7 Top ten finish in Put Out! or Get Out! groups Brilliant Colors challenge / Nov 4/09
Have you ever experienced a feeling that other people have less problems and more luck than yourselves? It has happened to me and not once… Indeed, when we focus on ourselves too much we loose happiness as we highlight to ourselves every inconvenience, failure, and problem we encounter. Then we take a glance to other people and it looks to us that the festival is on the other bank, but not here. Indeed, we just involuntary cheat ourselves, because from our distance we are able to see the bright side of the other bank only. Hopefully the scale tips other way if we would only see the whole picture… Still doubt? Perhaps we really have not the same level of problems and difficulties. Some problems we make to ourselves just because we all have a free will, but some of us choose the wrong way. Some ills of life not depend on us directly. However, all of us are different in strength of will and body. Remember, the Power from Above never allows such a heavy weight above our heads that would crash us and never lets us alone. Be happy in the current situation! Be happy on this beautiful bank because it is paradise if you looked to it from that other bank. Not everything that glitters is gold…
