  • A ferret named Pilly!

  • Ferrets of the Weasel family. My Native design to the image.

  • This is one of my ferrets, his name is Bubba. He loves to wrastle, dance, and give and get lots of hugs! Best viewed larger size!!

  • Little male ferret

  • This is baby Tyler at 8 weeks old. He is just a kit, which is the name for a baby ferret. Tyler is now 2 years old. This is one of his first photos, his dad was holding him while mom took the pic.

  • This is my little ferret Max, also know as Maximus, Maximo, Maximillion, Maxim. We adopted him because we were told it would be hard to find a home for him because of his cropped tail. Actually hubby brought him home as a surprise, he went to adopt another, and came home with an extra one, LOL! Wow was I surprised when I looked in the kennel to see two ferrets. Max won my heart over immediately. He is such a sweetheart . He is 6-years old now, we adopted him when he was 4-years old. He had to have his tail cropped due to a tumor. He has had adrenal surgery since we rescued him and is doing well. He went from a naked little guy to what he is now, a beautiful, happy little guy. Max is a rescue from Texas Ferret Lovers Rescue (TXFLR)! This photo was taken on our front porch, inside the ferrets playpen, summer of 2008. That’s my collie Brodie on the other side.

  • Jax is our very first ferret ever. He is 3-years old now. He remains the alpha ferret of the boys. He accepts and loves all his adoptive brothers and sisters. He is such a sweetheart. We love him dearly. He was just 6-weeks old when we got him. His baby photo is here at Redbubble.

  • Noah went to the Rainbow Bridge on March 3, 2009. I loved this little boy more than anything, I have little heart left. I miss you baby boy!! Noah really is precious to me, all my ferrets are, but Noah is just so sweet. He has always accepted the new ferrets that we adopted and brought home. He was our 2nd ferret, 1st rescue, and there have been many more come along after him. This photo was taken 6/22/08. Noah is about 4 1/2 years old. It’s hard to know for sure since he is a rescue. We have had him for over 3 years now. Oh and I love how his eyes came out in this. I have never had a ferrets eyes come out this beautiful before. Best viewed larger!

  • This is one of my ferrets sleeping in her hammock. Her name is Bindi and she is a Mutt Ragdoll Angora ferret. We got her from Carolina Ferrets out of North Carolina. She flew on an airplane and even had a layover in Houston before she came to us through DFW airport. We have had her a little over a year now. She is 16-months old. Her hair will be around 5” long by the time she is 2-years old sometime in September. She is alot smaller than your average ferret and weighs just a little over a pound. She is such a doll. When she gets excited, she dances backwards with her mouth open, LOL. She’s a little fireball for sure. I hope you like her. She’s very hard to photograph as she’s never still. Oh, and I call her Bindi Boop all the time.

  • A productive day at altitude. And I found something unexpected today as well. At little over 14,000 today, on my lookout for pika, another photographer noticed something moving quickly in the talus. She said it was a weasel. My first thought was that this poor woman doesn’t know a weasel from a pika, but sure enough – a weasel. Not just one, at least two or three small ones, all moving very quickly. This represents my best weasel shot of the day – a tough little subject to capture. I do have mixed feeling about this. I am fond of weasels, but their food supply is my pikas. We’ll see how this drama plays out.

  • We don’t quite know what fur Mr Ferret is made of – and with his pointy little face, the name was a given.

  • This is a tee for anyone who loves and wants to protect ferrets. The original artwork won the “Thanking the Monkey” Challenge in the Voices for Animals group on October 4, 2008.

  • Maybe you’ve read the “His Dark Materials” trilogy by Phillip Pullman, or just “The Golden Compass” – truly steampunk for the younger set! The first in a set, here is my illustration of Lyra with her daemon Pantaliamon (in ferret form) posed in front of her beloved Oxford with a compass in the upper left corner. She’s got her alethiometer stowed in the bundle she’s carrying. This original artwork is copyright Ramona Szczerba 2008. Image cannot be reproduced without my express written permission. Thanks!

  • Thought this shot of my rescue ferret Stormy was just too cute. This is how I think they would talk if they could, and all other ferret people. Hope you like it. Stormy is a rescue from Texas Ferret Lover’s Rescue (TXFLR). He is the sweetest boy, will give you kisses on the cheek and makes little squeaky sounds when you pick him up, he loves attention!
