Sun light skims tall magestic tree trunks and highlights green leaves on Bridge Track deep in the rain forest of the Otway Ranges. / Not far from here is a bush camp know as Dandos, one of the most delightful places to camp by the river…but not a holiday time, it’s getting too popular!. / Not long after this shot was taken heavy Otway rains and flood picked up the bridge and moved it sidways 1 meter closing the track for some months, it has now been fixed into that new position. / Taken with Fuji S2 Pro

Shot: Nikon D40X / Format: Raw / Time: 1.29pm / Exposure: 10.000 seconds / F No: 9.0 / Focal Length: 26.0mm / Tripod Used / Uv Filter Used Leura Cascade Falls is in Sydney Australia The Blue Mountains. This is a great walk to go and do! It’s not to hard and you see beautiful things the whole way! How to get there… Commencing from the Leura Cascades Picnic Area make your way to the information board from which you will observe a concrete pathway descending to the left. Follow the pathway as it travels beside the bubbling Leura Cascades creek. You will approach a small footbridge, at this there will be an intersection, you will note a weathered signpost indicating the direction of Leura Cascades, from this point head downhill to the Cascades. As you descend the fern covered stairs (handrails for support) to the Cascades you will hear the sounds of rushing water as the creek picks up speed. At the bottom, the Cascades are best viewed from beneath a rock cave looking back up the Cascades. A brief sidetrack can be made from the Cascades by following the path for a short distance to a lookout directly above the Bridal Veil Falls. Return to the picnic area via the same pathway.
Another and I promise the last from yesterdays creek shoot. / Cement Creek /

A station that time has mostly forgotten all about stands waiting for a time that may never come. These old buildings and rails remember an era where hundreds of happy faces passed through here on their way home or on their holidays: They dream of a time long since passed. The Summer sky presents its amber glow to the station and casts its pigment all over the scene, highlighting the old charm of the woodwork and enhancing the shaddows. There is a romantic stillness captured within this scene. It is easy for us to imagine a crowd of people gathered waiting on a station that looks imaculate and yet, we can also see that this truly is the End of the Line. These beautiful falls are not named, or signed. Was an accident that I even found them, getting lost is a wonderful way to find somewhere you havn’t been. At the base of Mount Wellington, Hobart, I’m sure someone knows where these are. I think the stream came from the mountain, snow melt or rain. Beautiful and fresh, and quite cool.
