Sun light skims tall magestic tree trunks and highlights green leaves on Bridge Track deep in the rain forest of the Otway Ranges. / Not far from here is a bush camp know as Dandos, one of the most delightful places to camp by the river…but not a holiday time, it’s getting too popular!. / Not long after this shot was taken heavy Otway rains and flood picked up the bridge and moved it sidways 1 meter closing the track for some months, it has now been fixed into that new position. / Taken with Fuji S2 Pro
Taken on the Taggerty river near Marysville early one morning. I had to get up before the crack of dawn, drive an hour then walk ages along an old track to get here (Marysville State Forest)- got extremely wet, almost run down by a logging truck and covered in leeches – this is what I came back with.
A foggy day in Badger Weir.
Taken this morning at dawn in the Rainforests abover Warburton.

Sometimes it’s so nice to be out in these places where you are away from the day to day things like work and people. No lies no cars no judging no false smiles just truth. what you see is what you get and you can just be there and enjoy it for what it is.
Like carpet, the purpose has been pulled under the existence of the old bush hut at the end of the railway line.
Shot: Nikon D40X / Format: Raw / Time: 1.29pm / Exposure: 10.000 seconds / F No: 9.0 / Focal Length: 26.0mm / Tripod Used / Uv Filter Used Leura Cascade Falls is in Sydney Australia The Blue Mountains. This is a great walk to go and do! It’s not to hard and you see beautiful things the whole way! How to get there… Commencing from the Leura Cascades Picnic Area make your way to the information board from which you will observe a concrete pathway descending to the left. Follow the pathway as it travels beside the bubbling Leura Cascades creek. You will approach a small footbridge, at this there will be an intersection, you will note a weathered signpost indicating the direction of Leura Cascades, from this point head downhill to the Cascades. As you descend the fern covered stairs (handrails for support) to the Cascades you will hear the sounds of rushing water as the creek picks up speed. At the bottom, the Cascades are best viewed from beneath a rock cave looking back up the Cascades. A brief sidetrack can be made from the Cascades by following the path for a short distance to a lookout directly above the Bridal Veil Falls. Return to the picnic area via the same pathway.
“Small Mountain Stream~12” / This humble little waterfall, tumbling along on the forest floor, is a “Very Big On Beauty” waterfall! I found it in Rainbow Springs State Park while visiting the park with my dearest friend. This park is located just outside of Ocala, Florida. / Canon PowerShot S3 IS
A station that time has mostly forgotten all about stands waiting for a time that may never come. These old buildings and rails remember an era where hundreds of happy faces passed through here on their way home or on their holidays: They dream of a time long since passed. The Summer sky presents its amber glow to the station and casts its pigment all over the scene, highlighting the old charm of the woodwork and enhancing the shaddows. There is a romantic stillness captured within this scene. It is easy for us to imagine a crowd of people gathered waiting on a station that looks imaculate and yet, we can also see that this truly is the End of the Line. The remote and beautiful First Creek, Errinundra Plateau, Gippsland, Victoria, Australia. I got up at 5:30am drove almost 200km much of it over mountain roads, found that the road to the start of the walk was closed so walked 6km to get to the start then walked another 3km through thick bush to get to the top of the falls where the fun really began. On the entire walk in, the sun was blazing and the few shots I took were terrible the contrast being too great to record properly but just as I reached the falls a very thick cloud layer descended offering me as good a lighting condition as is possible for this kind of photography. Below the main falls the country becomes quite steep and I climbed in and out of it until 6:00pm before walking back. I reached the track in last light then walked the 6km back before returning home getting to bed at 1:30am. A tiring but extremely satisfying day. The mist around the trees was so beautiful yesterday morning, and everything felt so peaceful, I couldn’t resist a couple of textures and overlays to help create the feeling. Original photograph with grunge texture overlay, colour and levels adjustments. Featured in Red Bubble Home Page, April 2009

Took this shot last year on Mt Donna Buang in the rain. The rain made photography very difficult but the mist was so atmospheric I thought I’d have a go anyway. Pointing a camera almost straight up in the rain with a wide angle lens and an umbrella is a delicate balancing act. It involved lots of lens wiping, hoping and a few screw ups (drips and umbrella in frame didn’t quite give the shot the right vibe). Of all my shots this ended up being my only drip free and umbrellaless one. To check out other shots from this area see my Yarra Ranges gallery. 10% of all profits go to the Wilderness Society

These beautiful falls are not named, or signed. Was an accident that I even found them, getting lost is a wonderful way to find somewhere you havn’t been. At the base of Mount Wellington, Hobart, I’m sure someone knows where these are. I think the stream came from the mountain, snow melt or rain. Beautiful and fresh, and quite cool.
