I had been walking past this bit of fence for 2 years, and it kept ‘tickling my brain’. I don’t know why, but it did. At the same time it felt incomplete. Then I saw someone resting his hand on the top of the fence, and suddenly everything came together.

My best design for our fencing group. This is the Spanish Circle based on a plate in Thibault’s Academie de l’Espée of 1630.
Based on a plate in Thibault’s Academie de l’Espée 1630 with drawings of my own rapier at the bottom. Less successful, I think, than the simple Spanish Circle on its own.
