An almost macro photo of a tennis court fence in black and white. I’ve had people comment that this image looks more computer generated than a photo.

I don’t usually do IR shots with people or animals, but this horse was kind enough to stay still for me for 2 seconds. ......................................................................................................... Bored in a stable with nothing to do. / We make a game of throwing our shoes. / Lead me to water, but not to the track. / Show me a saddle and I’ll say, “Hey get off my back.” / All in favor (all in favor) say “Nay!” / We like the flavor of (we like the flavor of) hay. / We’re gonna graze all of our days. / Until they take us away and turn us into glue. / Like Mr. Ed always said… May the horse be with you. May the horse be with you. / May the Horse be with you everyday. / I trot by the fillies (they like me of course). / They all dig my band (yea I’m a rocking horse). / You gotta take off your spurs to ride me you know. / If you want me to stop then yell out “Whoa”. / All in favor (all in favor) say “Nay!” / We like the flavor of (we like the flavor of) ha / .............................. An IR shot. Title inspired by Frank Zappa again. / ......................................................................................................... / Out in Cucamonga / Many years ago / Near a Holy Roller Church / There was once a place / Where me and a couple of friends / Began practicing for the time / We might go / On TV / And as fate would have it / Later on we got a chance to play. / All we ever really knew: / That it was crazy / / / / / / Why not check out “Fenced Off” while you’re here… / /
An IR shot of two horses. / Luckily they both stood still for the 2 sec’s I needed them to.
This is an infrared shot. It was a very overcast day – not much blue sky about at all so I tried something a little different with this one. / Hope you like it.
I’ve been playing with this shot for way too long. I’ve done about 8 versions and can’t decide which one, if any, I like best. This is the one I’m posting…any feedback would be great – you know how it is when you overwork something – can’t see the good bits through all of the annoying bits. / / / Camera: FujiFilm FinePix S7000 / Location: Tumut in the Land of Oz / / ISO200 / f/8 / 4.0sec exposure / R72 filter / Tripod / / POSTSCRIPT / / After reading everyones comments, I’m changing my opinion of this pic now. I’ve looked at the other 7 versions and this one is definately the best, actually by a long way so I’m glad I persisted with it…I think I’m happy with it now….and besides my limited photoshopping skills have run out – I wouldn’t know what else to do with it anyway….lol

The warmth of a foggy dawn is reflected in the wet grass and the posts of this farming fenceline.
I’m proud to report that this image is used as the cover-image for the 7-inch vinyl ‘Scars’ record by the Canadian punk/hardcore band called Damages / . / This is a fully detailed photo of a real piece of fencing in Weston-super-Mare. I couldn’t resist the paradoxically soft, curvy, lazy loops of unfriendly sharp razor-wire, sitting above the rigidly regular fence! I adjusted the image a little to keep that dark, dark background. / . / Thank you to the Just Lines Group and the Don’t Fence Me In Group for featuring this photo in 2008! / . / Many thanks to the Shapes & Patterns Group for featuring this photo, on July 9th 2009. / . / / .

An infrared capture taken with a HOYA R72 filter. Topaz Adjust was used to give a slight HDR effect on the grass and fence.

“Listen a hundred times; ponder a thousand times; speak once.” / - TURKISH PROVERB My son Kane had no idea I was photographing him at this time…He was just wondering sweetly along a path in a local parkland area when suddenly he stopped and leaned on the fence. I honestly could not believe what I was seeing through my viewfinder when he did it. Then when I saw the photograph it just blew me away. Kane is 3 years old in this photograph. This is my all time favourite photograph I’ve taken with my DSLR to date. Played with the colour version in photoshop and am very pleased with the outcome. I believe this image has somehow created itself out of my subconscious…it seems to represent my childhood in GDR (East Germany) where I’ve been living a simple and happy life blissfully unaware of the restrictions that lay ahead and the lack of freedom…. It was not until later that I’ve realized how trapped I felt. Speaking your mind was dangerous and critizing the regime was certainly the quickest way to get locked up. Trying to leave the country could easily turn into a death sentence but obeying was too. Interesting documentary about the German wall on YouTube here I created this image for the Texture challenge in the Fine Art Composite group. I used four of my own photographs and various textures. Two of the textures (Splatter and Crystals) were kindly supplied by RavenSoul to be used for the challenge. Featured in the European Everyday Life group on 15 Mar 2009. a bird on a barbed wire fence in Lawton OK. This is very near my home… Nikon D80 / May 7, 2009] We have birds making nests in our bbq if we leave the lid down. When I open it, I find bits of trash that they have collected along with the straw and twigs. We should all pay more attention to where our trash is ending up and maybe trying to buy “Naked Products” which are products with a little to no packagins as possible. Buy local and aways recycle! ;)
