Early morning by the beach. My profile / / /
Farm buildings along I-90 in South Dakota. Taken as we were driving past at around 75mph. /
Silence Lane / I love cemeteries. / For some people, cemeteries are places of dread. For me, they are places of wonderful quiet and peace. A place of resting, whatever your religion, if any. Memories wrapped in stone and tree shadows. A place to reflect, and wonder about life. Perhaps our lives are just perfect – loved ones all around, financial independence; maybe fame and fortune. / In the end, we all wind up here. / / One life, one chance to feel good about it. / My rules for photography and art are very simple – I like it, or I don’t… / / Thanks for visiting my folio :) / I certainly appreciate your taking time to view what I’ve been up to, and enjoy reading your comments. / / / / Writings (or ramblings) / Come, Dark / Chandelier Brain / Eat Me / The 10th / You’re Strange, Rick / Ever-Queen / Sleeping / Beauty / The Black, White & Grey / / / / Hope / / / One / / / Reap what you Sow / / / Trust / / / Directions / / / Unconditional Love / / / The Long Road / / / Silence Lane

Infrared - Thanks to spacecadet34 for all of his help. Wouldn’t have gotten this far without you, Mario. Cheers.
I don’t usually do IR shots with people or animals, but this horse was kind enough to stay still for me for 2 seconds. ......................................................................................................... Bored in a stable with nothing to do. / We make a game of throwing our shoes. / Lead me to water, but not to the track. / Show me a saddle and I’ll say, “Hey get off my back.” / All in favor (all in favor) say “Nay!” / We like the flavor of (we like the flavor of) hay. / We’re gonna graze all of our days. / Until they take us away and turn us into glue. / Like Mr. Ed always said… May the horse be with you. May the horse be with you. / May the Horse be with you everyday. / I trot by the fillies (they like me of course). / They all dig my band (yea I’m a rocking horse). / You gotta take off your spurs to ride me you know. / If you want me to stop then yell out “Whoa”. / All in favor (all in favor) say “Nay!” / We like the flavor of (we like the flavor of) ha / .............................. An IR shot of two horses. / Luckily they both stood still for the 2 sec’s I needed them to.
An IR shot of an old fence and some trees.
Take advantage of whatever time is given to you. You never realize how precious it could have been until it’s over. / / Four blackbirds sit on a fence surrounding the pool at a park by our house. this is another one in memory of my brother, the third bird with the light on him and with his head tilted down is representative of my brother while the the other three birds are the rest of us kids. People have suggested he looks like the chosen one. / / film / / Oct 07, Tucson, AZ

Taken at Mammoth Hot Springs (Yellowstone Nat’l Park, WY) on a cold September morning. The sun was beginning to break through the fog, but the boardwalk still led through an eerie scene. Probably my favorite as I like the mystery. Canon Elan II / Velvia film.
Early morning light illuminates a gnarled white gum in a paddock in the Adeliade Hills region of Australia. ( I was blessed with an Editors Pick in the Man& Nature Forum on Nature Photographers Network the first week of May 2008)

/ / Southern Ontario, Canada A flock of birds, it swooped and danced, Held my gaze while I stood entranced. They moved as one through the atmosphere A minuet as they drew near. Thousands of birds in a flight of grace; Each tiny bird kept its own place. The percussion beat of their drumming wings Keeping time while the multitude sings, And I can hear them on their stage in the air A traveling show to who knows where. Perhaps a summer home, a perch, A quiet place in a Silver Birch. An end to the long dance, a place to rest Where wing and song can pause in a feathered nest.
A winter scene inspired by the song…. St-Hippolyte,Quebec,Canada. / /
“Listen a hundred times; ponder a thousand times; speak once.” / - TURKISH PROVERB My son Kane had no idea I was photographing him at this time…He was just wondering sweetly along a path in a local parkland area when suddenly he stopped and leaned on the fence. I honestly could not believe what I was seeing through my viewfinder when he did it. Then when I saw the photograph it just blew me away. Kane is 3 years old in this photograph. This is my all time favourite photograph I’ve taken with my DSLR to date. Played with the colour version in photoshop and am very pleased with the outcome. (black and white ) This was taken with my 300mm Canon lense. ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ WINNER of the LIVE LOVE DREAM Feel the Emotion Challenge WINNER OF WEEKLY CHALLENGE WINNER OF THE children the power of raw emotion challenge ○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○○ /

The snow last weekend was almost continual but light … creating an amazing, fantasy land of subtle color and soft light. As I shot this particular image, the sun was just appearing across the lake on the trees in the distance. It played hide and seek the whole time I was out. Fortunately, the winds were calm … so the branches were filled with snow. Image taken Tuesday, January 20, 2009 with the Nikon D40x, using the 18-200mm VR lens, with cp filter in Claysburg, PA … Blue Knob Mountain. Companion Piece Here Comes The Sun /

Butterflies…. soft, delicate & fragile, can break with the slightest touch. They flit through our lives without boundaries, or restriction. Winged creatures of joy & enlightenment. / Fences on the other hand are the very epitome of oppression. They enclose us, keep us in, prevent us from stretching our wings. They are hard, cold & lifeless, like the hearts of those who would oppress us. [multi image montage utilising multiple textures from my own stock]
