This old wooden fence was taken in the Adelaide Hills, Oakbank, South Australia, Australia. This was taken with a Canon DSLR EOS 350D camera. I recently made a sale on redbubble with this shot. I sold a medium laminated print in white with artist’s details to a dear friend, Natz, in the UK. Many thanks Natz.

One of the first street shots I ever took back in 1964 in the East End of London. This was before Playstations, and probably the only ‘toy’ these kids shared between them was a skipping rope. Old bomb sites still held a fascination though as a form of amusement and exploration, as can be seen here. It was taken using a Yashica Mat 120 film twin lens reflex camera that took me six months to save up for. I used Tri-X B/W film and printed on a hard grade of paper to get the punchy contrast, a characteristic of all my early B/W work. Here on Maui, we have a neighbor who decided to build a fence out of old surfboards. Well, now there are 600+ surfboards surrounding the property and the number grows daily as folks simply deposit their old hardware onto the property without giving it a second thought. I took this from the road using my Fujifilm 6×17 film camera (for sale now!) This fence has recently made international news and is a “Mecca” for all tourists to photograph.
