I originally intended this shot to be a picture of my son holding onto these balloons and taking off, floating into up into the sky … a fantasy, sotybook sort of image. However, my daughter immediately grabbed these balloons from him and started running off. So, as it turned out this eded up having a more realistic look than the one I originally intended, but I thought it turned out pretty cute with the desaturated colors throughout, except for the colorful balloons. Sold 2 laminated prints to RB Members.

I’ve been playing with this shot for way too long. I’ve done about 8 versions and can’t decide which one, if any, I like best. I’ve looked at the other 7 versions and this one is definately the best, actually by a long way so I’m glad I persisted with it…I think I’m happy with it now….and besides my limited photoshopping skills have run out – I wouldn’t know what else to do with it anyway….lol

I took this shot from the Windsor turf farms today while following a storm which hit about 5 minutes later.. It is an HDR shot and I think HDR was the right choice as it shows details in both the sky and landscape.. / I have always wanted to try and get a storm shot while down at the turf farms because the scene just looks so typically australian to me.. / I decided to include the gate to break up the scene a bit and add something more to view than just turf and the sky.. / Anyway as usual all comments and/or thoughts are welcome.. / Thanks for having a look! This shot was taken on the way home from a motorcycle trip to Dayton, OH. My buddy was getting a little ticked off at my wanting to stop to take this shot, as we tried to outrun the rain. Am I glad we stopped !!! This looked like an old church, that someone then had used as a residence for years. I LOVE the red leather chair on the porch, and the sky was just perfect for HDR. Taken with Nikon D300 and Tokina 12-24mm lens. Post processing included HDR treatment, and some dodge & burn.

Lawton, OK / May 09 2 photos layered with different opacities Brushes I found on the web here All put together in CS4 by me =) Nikon D80 For Earth Keepers: Lawton, OK is HOT, muggy and buggy. There isn’t much to do around here, but when you look around with the right attitude there is beauty to be found. However…. with the extreme wind here the garbage gets blown all over the cow pastures and hay fields. We need to be better about securing our trash and that include not producing as much too.
