I’ve been playing with this shot for way too long. I’ve done about 8 versions and can’t decide which one, if any, I like best. I’ve looked at the other 7 versions and this one is definately the best, actually by a long way so I’m glad I persisted with it…I think I’m happy with it now….and besides my limited photoshopping skills have run out – I wouldn’t know what else to do with it anyway….lol

Lost in Utah would have been a more apt title after the GPS affectionately known as “Dorothy” lead me to a graveyard instead of a lake lol. I discovered some gorgeous countryside along route. There is nothing better than getting lost :))

A scene reminiscent of some work places – everyone trying to climb to the top! Seems these snails felt the need to climb high onto an old fence post between Carpenters Rocks and Blackfellows Caves in the Limestone Coast region of South Australia. This is a common sight at this time of the year where common paddock snails congregate on anything off the ground… Canon 400D, 18-55 lens with CIR Polariser.

But as the tree grew to maturity its flowers were mediocre and its fruit had a bad odour and tasted vile. This is the Isle of Skye at it’s best, when there is a lot of colour in the landcsape, with the low sun we get this far North at this time of year, accentuating every detail. / This is the crofting community of Tarskavaig, with the glorious backdrop of the Cuillin Hills. / “Crofting” is small time farming, or “smallholding” where a few crops might be grown, and a small number of cattle or sheep kept.
