Felt-tip pen on A3 paper. The new, alternate version is here I did this for an art assessment in 2004. My teacher wasn’t very fond of it, even though it took me bloody forever to complete. You should have seen some of the crap works the other people handed in that got higher marks than me! Insane! / He didn’t like my whole collection I handed in… and from there things went downhill. / The teacher wasn’t teaching us everything he was supposed to that was in the syllabus, and a lot of his students got poor marks in the exams following, because we weren’t taught things that would be in the exams. Eventually I dropped art in year 12. / (This should really be in a journal… oh well) This was created in early 2004.

We had another awesome sunset and I rode my bicycle as fast as I could to get a shot. I missed the peak but still love the silhouette I got of my cruiser. /
I also have a color version available. /
This is a depiction of my son, a free spirit, who will always jump without thinking of how the landing might work out. A lovely way to live (altho I did do a first aid course not long after he was born…)
A drawing I’ve done back in 1977 with only the use of felt pens, I loved the movie and I had some time to spare. I noticed the dots that prints made then, so with the use of a magnifying glass I could select the colours and started to put dots on a piece of paper. Another mixed media painting, this one on wood, with whiteout, ink, watercolor, and oil pastels. My friend Lindsey is smoking and looking soulful, something he does quite well. There is a snail inching towards him, along with a Tom Robbins quote,” the air had become like cotton candy, spun not from sugar but the sex glands of meadowlarks and dry white wine. This is something I painted over the summer, living in Alaska, the summers are like therapy. They are the short amount of time you are allotted to feel like yourself and be inspired. Tom Robbins inspired this painting with his beautiful imagery in his books.
This little Acorn maid is getting ready to plant an acorn, which has fallen to earth, she will make sure that another tall oak tree will spread its branches and shelter us from the sun. Needle felted in pure wool.
Felt tip pen on catrtidge paper 2009 I was poking around the veggie garden the other day, to see if we were EVER going to get any eggplants (apparently not) and the leaves really intrigued me. I took one inside and later that week was doodling away at work….this is the result.
