Who can resist these eyes? This image is a reproduction of my original color pencil painting on drafting paper of ’”Blink” a beautiful cat owned by a fellow artist. “Blink” was placed Second in the Painting – Drawing Any Subject category at the 2008 Canning Show (First Place was awarded to my colour pencil painting “We Three Kings II – Lion” and Third to “Noble” my German Shepherd Dog in charcoal (yes I was very pleased with this Hat Trick!).

No, this background was not inserted with photoshop, it really is snow! Spent about 7 hours in the snow this particular day and came away with this! Hope you like! Al Fresco Cats / Acrylic on canvas / Size: 505mm x 405mm I’m combining three of the loves of my life here – cats, gardens and food. / These two cats resemble a couple of cats I had as a child, Skittle (black and white) and Victor (marmalade). They are just deciding what to eat first, perhaps the cheese…as / there seems no meat available.

Shiro

It took me a while to paint her for our wall, but I finally got around to do it. When she was just about 2 months old, we adopted her entire family, including her siblings, mother, and grandmother. They were such beautiful and wonderful companions. Now they have all passed away, but left so many lovely memories in our hearts.

Gus, our resident feline, now 5 years old, only beats her up occasionally…instead of daily! Given a bit more time I think they will become the best of friends. Bella likes nothing better than to find a quiet, warm spot and to curl up with one of her favourite books. She has an extensive library for such a young cat. Just look at her titles.

by ibjennyjennyThis is Odin….he lives at Six Flags Discovery Kingdom. Odin is an 8 year old White Bengal Tiger who was hand raised, his trainer is Lee Munro. Odin is 10 feet long from nose to tail and he loves to swim; he is the star of the exhibit “Odin’s Temple of the Tiger”. Odin’s mother was the first White Tiger born at the park. I was so taken by this guy, he is so handsome and has such a personality. The face he is making here is actually keeping the water from going up his nose. A century ago there were about 100,000 tigers in the wild. Now there are just 2,500 adults, with the Bengal / variety almost extinct.
