An old photo but I thought I’d dig it out of the archives for you. This is a young Amur Tiger named Zambar (left) admiring his father (Gamin)’s nice sharp gnashers. The next moment Zambar put his head in Gamin’s mouth, but as typically happens, I ran out of space on my flashcard! :o(

Individual cats have also been known to learn on their own to manipulate simple mechanisms, such as doorknobs and toilet handles.Cats use a variety of vocalizations and types of body language for communication, including meowing, purring, “trilling”, hissing, growling, squeaking, chirping, clicking, and grunting.Cats may be the most popular pet in the world, with over 600 million in homes all over the world. They are also bred and shown as registered pedigree pets. This hobby is known as “cat fancy”.

This is one of 3 kittens born wild out on my property in Amherst, Virginia somewhere. I have 2 large cats that I can pet and the others are all ones who run away when you try to touch them or get close to them. This little one is getting closer to being touched every day. Such a beautiful kitten.
