This sweet little kitty is no longer with us. At the tender age of 4, she developed an unusual lung problem that would have required her to go through too much suffering; so we had her put down. She was the sweetest, most wonderful kitty I’ve ever known and I miss her dearly. R.I.P. Smudge (a.k.a. Mudgie)

If we are asked to imagine a sophisticated hunting machine some of us will surely think of their beloved cat. Cats are fast, athletic, flexible, have a lot of patience, and a killer instinct. We all have seen hunting cats moving one foot at a time, staring intently at the prey they are stalking on a hot summer day … and occasionally we find a dead or alife “gift” on our doorsteps. It’s just a shame that we do not appreciate a good gooey mouse as much as our feline friends do. I don’t know what kind of a cat this is. I saw her running free on a private parking lot close to a major Interstate and asked the man who’s feeding her occasionally and gave her the bell. He said he wouldn’t know either … he’s taking care of the cat because she obviously has no home. / / I wonder what this cat is thinking behind those china blue hypnotic eyes ... / / If you are considering buying a gift for yourself, or a cat loving friend, then there’s no better choice than a cat art print or poster. Mikey’s green eyes captured me as soon as he first opened them as a baby; his heart captured me during a very difficult time in my life – when my newborn son was born still. Mikey was a baby himself and he was born deaf but he knew….he knew that my heart was broken in two and he was on a mission to mend the broken pieces. Mikey followed me everywhere once I returned from the hospital and I was not alone, he slept right next me and made sure my arms were not empty. / There is no doubt in my mind that Mikey helped to pull me through that time and gave me a reason to want to wake up each day. It was the darkest time of my entire life but with Mikey and his little light, we found our way together. Mikey is six years old now, he continues to be source of support for me even today. Our lives are much happier now than they were then but nothing has changed with how he looks after me, Mikey loves me and he makes sure that I know. I took this photo on Mother’s Day 2008 and as beautiful as he may be on the outside, it doesn’t even compare to how beautiful he is on the inside. This is Mikey…...and he is my friend. 11/13/09 – 154

Stormy is just chillin on my sofa and being cute doing it!! HDR/Orton used. I found out that the entire litter of Stormy’s siblings were dumped into the local Christmas Tree Farm to catch mice, but they’ll freeze instead!! Poor babies!! So I now see Stormy as the lucky one that got rescued!!!
