  • I love rain since childhood. Don’t know why. I feel good in rain.

  • Judith suggested Rainy street could be in B&W. She has great B&W work and has been an inspiration to me. So I tried with PS to convert the photo into B&W. But I’m new to PS and don’t know if I did it right. Please let me know what you think about the tones, contrast, textures… will a more grainy feel help? Thank you.

  • Oil Pastel and Acrylic On Paper Concept: This is one of the many in Ophelia’s Love Encounters Series, it’s her experience of many facets of this wonderful thing called LOVE.. This is what she has to say about love today : ” Love makes you feel larger than life, gives you the courage to conquer all odds at hand.” Love in many of my quotes and paintings is open to personal interpretations, doesn’t necessarily mean love in the romantic sense. / You can view and buy my other “Love Makes You Feel Larger Than Life” creations at my Zazzle Gallery:

This is what she has to say about love today : ” Love makes you feel larger than life, gives you the courage to conquer all odds at hand.” This is a full size version with its night sky, I love the cropped one as well as it emphasises on the “large-ness”. • I was watching the movie “The Ultimate Gift” listening to the character played by James Garner talking to his grandson when he said… ‘Learning is a gift… even if pain is your teacher”. As soon as the words had finished coming out of his mouth I honestly said out loud – YES!! Immediately I was blown away by the quote and I wrote it down and thought about its meaning for weeks. I’ve never felt so affected by a sentence before. Upon reflecting this quote I found quite confronting to realise that I spent my twenties doing everything to avoid and “run away” from my emotional pain.. Now in my 30s I’ve realised that pain was essential for me to be a more caring, less-judgemental and forgiving person. Pain seems to show us the truth in others… the truth that all people, no matter what’s on the outside… have a heart capable of breaking on the inside. It gives me great comfort that I can now view the grief of my brothers death as somewhat of a gift to me – rather than nothing but a loss FEATURED IN Prize Challenges GROUP / FEATURED IN Creative Inspirations / FEATURED IN YOU’RE ACCEPTED GROUP / FEATURED IN FIRST THINGS GROUP / FEATURED IN TYPOGRAPHY GROUP / FEATURED IN THE ART OF PAIN GROUP t-shirt available .

  • I know it’s another raccoon photo, but I had to show this.Yesterday Aug. 30th it was late in the afternoon I was upstairs with the window open because for some reason it is very cool here in Kentucky right now, which is not normal for August. I heard some noise outside and it sounded like it was coming from right under the window. I looked out, not before grabbing my camera (which is never more that a few feet from me) saw this little baby brat climbing up the side of the house and I guess she would have come right in for a visit if I had not closed the window first, but not before taking just one photo and hope I got her. I went downstairs immediately so she would get down and go back down to the ground after I threw a bowl of dog food over the railing from the deck. She and a few others all raced each other off the deck to see what I had offered them. I was so worried she would fall and it is a very high window. I got a chance for only one photo and here it is.
