Amish people are usually very quiet and secluded within their own communites. It is against their religion to have a “graven image” of themselves. Living among in an Amish area for several years, I respected this and would only take pictures if I knew that their faces would not be revealed. Most of my pictures, such as this one, were shot from my car as I drove. Appearing a bit ornery, this horse was beautiful as they traveled along Rt. 372 in Holtwood, Pennsylvania. This photograph was taken with a Canon Rebel EOS – yup, the oldie that actually used film – imagine that!

This is myself & my husband reflected on the sand in the bright Spanish sun. Taken Easter 2008 on our breezy walk back from Torrevieja to Punta Prima. Its a longer walk than you first think along the coast! Spectacular views & sense of freedom though; just before my heart surgery when I returned home to the UK, so this is a very special photo ;) x Reflected on the sand you & me / look how happy we can be / I love how were friends aswell as lovers / you are for me & now no other. We laugh & cry & people watch / no longer after a bedpost notch / Together now for 13 years plus / happy today as our first meeting was. Bev 2008 /
