This baby hedgehog was crossing our backyard and I thought it looked too cute to just let it pass without taking a photo of him (or her).. / And added a little text to it… ‘cause he’s was sticking his nose in the grass ‘cause I think he was a bit shy :)

Energy is the 4th addition now to my collection of space art. This particular peice was named Energy due to the extreme levels of light I had used, and turned down thinking that the peice had too much ‘energy’. I decided to scrap the look, but keep the name :) Always, Enjoy ! / `Dave
This would be the next piece in my collection of space related scenes. / This one is a little different than the last ones, I included in it a simple asteroid field modeled in Cinema 4D. :) Tootles for now :) / `Dave

FEATURED IN / Art For The World December 2009 / Music and Spirit Dec. 11, 2009 / Vibration in Art & Verse – VAVoom! Dec.17, 2009 / Art at its Best Dec. 17, 2009 This collage/painting is proudly hanging in my solo show at the Gallery of the Lorelton (Wilmington DE, USA) / April 1-30, 2009 / (Theme: FACES, PLACES & INNER SPACES) Collage Art is unique because you take already existing materials to design your own piece of art. / All you need is an open mind and the willingness to explore. / I love working with traditional methods and materials in a total unexpected way. I used different kind of paper, newspaper, acrylic paint, ink and pencil. I wanted to give this Collage/Painting an old look by painting the music sheets and background with raw sienna, which give the collage this antique feel. / Purposely I was leaving some light areas to provide the eye to travel throughout the piece. For “Sonata for Piano and Violin” I was influenced by my musical background and by a strong sense of color (earth tones) After I almost finished this collage/painting I glued the canvas board on a larger canvas, to incorporate the piece and to give it the desired depth. Size middle canvas board: 20”X24”. / Size stretched canvas 24”x30” (61.03×76.2 cm) with gallery wrapped edges over wooden frame. ©opyright Olga van Dijk 2009 / Unauthorized copying or use of images is prohibited. / This is another OlgArtsProduction©2009
