It has been two days now. These new people still only call me kitty. One day they will learn my name and call me properly. I am getting used to this place. I have been playing and stuff. The old lady cat is starting to see things my way and I have decided to not spit in her face anymore. The behemoth black cat with a funny mustache just sits and growls at me. Sometimes he scares me but I dont show it. I just get big and puffy to scare him. I think it worked one time cuz he just walked away. Needless to say…I am feeling more at home. Please View Larger

I took off for a week and went home to gather up some of my belongings and to visit my family. I felt at ease on familiar ground, I enjoyed spending time with my family and I happily picked out a few personal belongings to take home along on my travels. Still, I felt awkward and strange; I was at ease, yet out of place. There was a lurking shadow over my being as if I were floating on a river and suddenly found myself in waters that I had left behind … A hazy dè sha vue. Bidding good byes, I stepped into my journey. and emerged to find myself floating leisurely below blue skies, knowing that all was well and that I was where I was supposed to be. I was happy. © 2009 Danilo Lejardi It was today. I had just arrived from the vet. And was feeling a bit sad and worried cause they found my dear Shar-pei girl was having an urinary infection _ I had previously detected there was blood in her urine. And, oh, yes, they made all kind of tests for her and prescribed the right medication_ I hope so. But I couldn´t help but start to search for all kind of info related to these symptoms. / And then I suddenly found this writing “Rainbow Bridge”. I know it´s about hope, and inmortality, and of the comforting idea that someday we´ll be together again, and so on, but have to admit that it completely broke my heart. / So I decided to create this image for me and my girl, as well as for all those who share that very special feeling for their pets. “Rainbow Bridge. / When an animal dies that has been especially close to someone here, that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge. There are meadows and hills for all of our special friends so they can run and play together. There is plenty of food, water and sunshine, and our friends are warm and comfortable. / All the animals who had been ill and old are restored to health and vigor. Those who were hurt or maimed are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them in our dreams of days and times gone by. The animals are happy and content, except for one small thing; they each miss someone very special to them, who had to be left behind. / They all run and play together, but the day comes when one suddenly stops and looks into the distance. His bright eyes are intent. His eager body quivers. Suddenly he begins to run from the group, flying over the green grass, his legs carrying him faster and faster. / You have been spotted, and when you and your special friend finally meet, you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted again. The happy kisses rain upon your face; your hands again caress the beloved head, and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your pet, so long gone from your life but never absent from your heart. Then you cross Rainbow Bridge together…. Author unknown…” Basic render was done in Cinema 4D; rest was done in Photoshop by blending layers and doing some digital painting. / (CINEMA 4D is a commercial, cross-platform, high-end 3-D graphics application) /
