Federal Falls is located in South Lawson Park which is the town I grew up in (Blue Mountains). Equipment used: / Canon 300D, Sigma 18-50EX, cable release. Shot Details: / RAW capture / 2.0 second exposure. / f/22 / 100 ISO / 18mm focal length. Post production details: / Photoshop CS, cropped slightly, levels adjustment, increased saturation, sharpened Note that the waterfall is placed on the right side of the frame. This allows the water to “flow” through the image from the top right to bottom left corner which makes the viewer explore the image by following the natural flow of the stream.

From the Federal Reserve Act: To provide for the establishment of Federal reserve banks, to furnish an elastic currency, to afford means of rediscounting commercial paper, to establish a more effective supervision of banking in the United States, and for other purposes. LEARN Liberty does not consist in mere declarations of the rights of man. It consists in the translation of those declarations into definite action. We have come to be one of the worst ruled, one of the most completely controlled and dominated Governments in the world – no longer a Government of free opinion, no longer a Government by conviction and vote of the majority, but a Government by the opinion and duress of small groups of dominant men. So I know there’s gotta be other people out there excited about the release of the new Batman Movie The Dark Knight, or is it just me? This is a tribute to possibly one of my favourite movies! This is also one of my first really serious attempts at creating some digital artwork in Photoshop. This is the result of me having a lot of time, sitting at home sick when I should be at work. The question is can you see Batman?? For this I started off with one of my pics of Melbourne, Australia from Southbank which was a HDR from 3 exposures. I then added in bats, flood lights, batman, the moon etc. and then once again a lot of tinkering in Lightroom to finetune :) Click here for my other images of Melbourne

  • To Quote the group: “NATURES SECRET CANVAS”. For the little things that you might just walk on by and never knew were there!!! The artist being mother nature but presented in a different way! I am gradually finding my city. I often visit Federation Square in the city of Melbourne and this is what I find each time. But each time I visit I find more amazing patterns. No tourists have to travel to the very outback of Australia if they do not have time. The colours in the rocks/stone are very much the colour of our land ….......! There are hundreds of them and if you look closely you will find so much excitement . There seemed to be mountains /ridges/people shapes and so much more if one has the inclination or the imagination .They are nature’s patterns/ not manufactured . The patterns are the natural beauty of the stone/rock taken from our Australian earth/mountains. In creating this image I have taken the pattern and duplicated it to add further interest. Federation Square is situated in the centre of the city of Melbourne, Australia. You will find a series of buildings which include art galleries, museum, cinemas, exhibition spaces, auditorium, restaurants, bars and shops located in an open and closed atrium area. The tourist information centre is also in this area and you will find a huge amount of information to help you around the city. There is a free city walk which can be booked online. Flinders Street Station and St Pauls Cathedral are also located nearby. Most of these buildings are atop the railway lines which lead to country and city areas.

  • Face of History approves
    by Rosina Lamberti

    US$3.85–US$102.60

Eyes of forum approve of the modern Federation square Architectural Taken – 12th April 2008 The international architectural design competition announced by the then Premier Jeff Kennett in 1996 for this site north of Princes Bridge and bounded on one side by Flinders Street and the other side by the Yarra River, was the beginning of Melbourne’s Federation Square. ‘The winning scheme draws its inspiration from the unique urban characteristics of Melbourne’s arcades and lanes and transforms these elements into a new form of organisation, celebrating the city’. Federation Square was to become a new centre of cultural activity for Melbourne – the long-awaited large, open public civic destination. Lab architecture studio saw their design as one of ‘difference and coherence’ bringing together distinct elements and activities while maintaining a visual and formal coherence. They believed it reflected the true spirit of federation – independent identities combining to form a larger whole. /
