  • This was taken in Calvert County Maryland on a very cold February morning. This is the Chesapeake bay and as you can see the water has frozen on the rocks.

  • The Grand Tetons taken on a very clear and crisp February day.

  • / A filtered sun rises in the dark February morning, peeking through a tangle of trees. The rays still make it to the ground to glisten on the wet grass. 10” X 12” 100% cotton, beads, rayon / Journal Quilt Project, February

  • Seasons Calendar

  • I loved the way the snow looked like it was flowing downhill like a stream when I took this on a cold February day in Pisgah National Forest, North Carolina.

  • 1. Boy Meets Girl / 2. They fall in love / 3. They get chased out of town by angry locals

  • New York City Skyline Over Central Park During Blizzard of February 12, 2006

  • There was a touch of spring in the air this morning, and so I took my bike out again, this time leading me to the polderland near Soest. It was quite a long and lovely trip. / Polderland in February here in the Netherlands can be very bare, but the warmth of the sunlight, contrasting with the dark clouds, gave this scene taken in the Eempolder near Soest a touch of warmer times. The grass will be much greener later, the trees will be green, too. Still there was enough colour in the picture to give you the idea that better times are approaching. And the sheep in the meadows seemed quite content with what they had. No snow after all! Though there will probably be some more coming … Near Soest, 6th February 2009, 10.00 am / Nikon D80, Nikkor 18-200 mm at 24 mm / F 20, 1/60, ISO 200

  • This was the sky in Riddells Creek ( mon Feb 23 ). / The sunset was enhanced because of all the bushfire smoke coming across from Daylesford here in Victoria. / Scary stuff. ===========================

  • The sun was just starting to set on a fabulous few (not as many as I would have liked) hours in the coastal town of Royan on the SW coast of France – Royan is a very modern caostal town compared to many areas of France due to it being bombed out in the 2nd World War – it reminded us very much of the South of France with the white buildings and long beaches, and many sea front restaurants! Still has the lovey atmopshere of the Charente Maritime….today reached the heady heights of 20 degrees (in town) so that meant for some strip and get the rays! We started our day on this beach and ended it here – unfortunately I didn’t get my way to stay for the full sunset – which would have been spectacular I feel!! Atlantic Ocean Canon 400d Sigma Lens 70-300mm / 1/800 seconds / F/14 / ISO 100 / P programme / Focal Length 70mm / AS IS

  • I had the honour of doing a collab with the very talented and beautiful Kcranmer – hope you like this Kelly! I developed this post production style while working on my own February Portrait and thought it would work well as a colaborative series. • Taken February 09 on one of those bitterly cold nights. I think it was absolute zero out there. But one of the benefits of those cold nights is the clarity of the sky.
