  • Who looked before thee.....?
    by GerryMac

    US$3.99–US$91.20

Just loved the old stonework that form the frames around these windows…. If you ever visit Scotland you must put the Inchmahome Priory, an ancient monastery on your list for places to visit. The Priory is located on a tiny island on The Lake of Menteith. It is that small that there are no roads or cars, only the beautiful ruins of the monastery, which are cared for and maintained. There are lovely walks through the trees or around the whole island and plenty of lovely grass areas for picnics. The really magic thing about the visit to this mystical place is how you get to it! On the shore of the lake is a small jetty and if unmanned, you raise a small signal which tells the boatman that there is someone waiting to go across to the island. / So, it is a wee boat ride to a beautiful experience!

  • Urquhart Castle Loch Ness
    by GerryMac

    US$3.99–US$91.20

The impressive ruin of Urquhart Castle sits on a rocky promontory with commanding views along Loch Ness. One of the largest of all Scottish castles, Urquhart has seen many battles and sieges throughout its 500-year history as a medieval fortress. Evidence of the siting of some kind of fortified residence on the promontory goes back to Pictish times during a missionary visit by St Columba about AD 580. The holy man called at the home in Glen Urquhart of an elderly noble Pict named Emchath and converted him and his household to Christianity. A big thank you to Adgray for this inspired wonderful poem….. _Can you hear the pipes a calling to you laddy / Will ye come and join the fighting of the foe / Hug the wee barings and kiss your lovely wife laddy / ‘twill be a while before you march back home And the lands will thank you for the blood you shed laddy / and the sassenachs will flee before our might / We will take you home upon the cart to bed laddy / and our land stay safe because you did what’s right_

  • Waiting for the rain......
    by GerryMac

    US$3.99–US$91.20

Lake Joondalup tends to dry up by the height of summer….. then fills up again when the winter rains come….. A big thank you to Adgray for this inspired wonderful poem….. Where has it gone the waters of yore / How deep was my volume how sweet all the more / And now there is dryness and silence on shore / As I wait for the rains to come Who has my waters that fill me anew / I long for the downfalls but feel only a few / The life waiting with me leave as winds blew / As I wait for the rains to come And then it will happen the seeping the surge / The banks will be whetted and life is now urged / Watch all the bird-life in my shallows will splurge / Now that the rains have come

  • Encasement......
    by GerryMac

    US$3.99–US$91.20

The really weird thing about this is that when I overlaid the picture of my eyes over the image of this stone head it fitted….... I did not have to change the distance between the eyes or rotate them…... I took my eyes photo about 5 months ago and the picture of the stone head around 3 weeks ago…... now isn’t that a strange thing….....
