To all who leave comments – sorry that I haven’t responded. Please rest assured that I appreciate every last one of them !:) Related Works – My Favourites Related Works – Cloudscapes Related Works – Storms Stary sky above but not where the camera is pointed. About 10pm. / Rolleiflex 6006, 50mm Rolligon Lens, f11, Fuji NHG 400 ASA and who knows what the exposure time was. The main strike was over 30km away and took out the power to the town it was over. In a whole roll of film this was the strike that drained the fierceness out of the storm – you know, its final big bang. Taken from Yungaburra, Far Nrth Qld – Storm was over Mareeba.

This is the same favourite tree that I already have a photo of but this time I actually stopped the car to take this photo! I not only find this tree fascinating but in a way, quite intimidating due to it’s awesome size, age and mystery. With this treatment, I have endeavoured to capture some of the age, mystery and sometimes darkness of this old tree.

Tell me about your red boots. / These boots are made by Alannah Hill (who is not particularly one of my favourite designers but I fell in love with these boots at first sight!) I think they are just perfect! I love the colour, the brooch and the red ribbons. They are just so me! Unfortunately they are not the easiest heel to walk in so I don’t get to wear them too much, and I like to save them for special occasions so they have a bigger impact on the people who see / them! What’s the story behind you getting them? / Like all of my shoes, they were an impulse buy. I just can’t help but whip out my credit card when I see new shoes! My friend was working at the store where I purchased them at the time so I got them a little cheaper which helped sweeten the deal! So, why exactly do you love shoes so much? / I need one in every colour to go with my outfits, every style for different comfort levels, moods and seasons. Shoes to go with stockings and classic vintage heels that every girl must own! I can’t part with shoes, they have to be broken beyond repair or stolen from me. Scabious is much too ugly a name for this delightful bloom (scabiosa) otherwise know as the pincushion flower. It’s a wonderfully long flowering perennial and older varieties have a gorgeous delicate fragrance. This particular plant is (even) older than me (! ? !) and has been carefully tended by my dad for decades as it came (via a removal van) from the house I was born in. Captured during a recent shower Its lovely scent is a great reminder of summers past. . . :))) Greenery is from a nearby heather and this was taken in the same rain as summer shower so it was well worth getting slightly damp! ;))
