I sketched it then Shakira Rivers brought this one to life. It was fun to see what results I was going to get back after she agreed to work on it. Needless to say I was pleasantly surprised at the results. I speak for me and Shakira when I say thank you for your comments.

Or journey of the lost soul…I guess every day is a failure. I fail to live up to my own life. But I will die trying! I’m ready to make a leap of consciousness. The old struggles are no longer interesting. They do not engage my mind. My energy passes through them-they are mirages. I once sought big monuments of proof that I existed-no more. For me going deeper is better. Deeper insight is all that I seek…and a beautiful cup to drink from.

Tired yet happy; a mother and child. The far away look and tired expression remind me of Dorothea Lange’s photo “Migrant Mother”, obviously without the desperate circumstances and social commentary.

Something a little different after all the cosmos and landscape shots … one of my favourite photos of my daughter, taken last year – converted into a colour sketch in Paint Shop Pro.

I shot this youngster from a descrete distance. I wish I could have gone to chat a little with him but I don’t think he would have appreciated it. Maybe he was just fatigued. This was shot very early on a Sunday morning.

TIRED OF THE UNCERTAINTY

After the last bad bubble mail I got in response to one of my comments in someones Journal I have decided from this point on I will no longer comment on any artwork, photos or Journals. / . / I have tried to be objective in my critiques, and I have tried to give advice when someone posts an entry in their Journal that seems like a question seeking an answer. / . / But after the last angry response to one of my comments I am simply tired of the uncertainty of whether my comments will be received with appreciation or disdain. / . / From this point on I will continue to watch but I will not be commenting. / For those of you who do know me and appreciate my constructive critiques I’ll still be available to give your work a review but from now on anyone that wants a comment, critique or my simple opinion on a specific subject you’ll have to send me a request. / . / If you have your bubble mail turned off you can still send me your request by placing it as a comment on one of my works. / . / This might sound strange or even kind of drastic but this was the same crap I put up with at AW and I don’t care to repeat the same mistakes I did there. / This time if someone actually requests my advice or seeks my critique of their work then I’ll know ahead of time that my opinion won’t be bashed or erased in return.

istanbul…...we had been walking for a long while trying to find the spice market in the old part of town…. and wandered a bit off course without realising. we had been walking for what seemed like forever in a bit of a daze and then we noticed that there weren’t any other people around and the buildings were all partly destroyed I don’t know what from but about three blocks were trashed with some of the buildings reduced to nothing more than a pile of rubble…. I spied this one and got a couple of shots before we started getting a little scared and ran back the way we’d come….

hi Kirrily is looking around for artists who suffer from CFS (Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, also known as CFIDS, ME and incorporating Fibro Myalgia) as I’m putting a book together – basically to illustrate the comfort many of us find in creating. It’s a creative book – mostly artwork with short artist statements. I’ve found many people from all over the place, quite a few from DeviantART, and the size of the book is growing at a steady rate. Anyone with CFS can contribute. We want to include ALL work that is submitted because it’s not a book about professional art, it’s a book about how creativity helps sufferers cope, escape or just motivate. If you’re interested in contributing (art, photography, crafts, poetry, prose or anything creative), or know someone who would be interested send an email to creativeforasecond@gmail.com and ask for submission guidelines. cheers.. THE LAUNDRYMAT
by JaneAParisnow I wish tomorrow wouldn’t come…
About feeling out of control and being scared of what tomorrow will bring. About feeling pathetic and wanting to drown your woes in a bottle of rum. About writing poems that aren’t poems, but are poems because they say exactly what is in your heart, and that makes them real. About being being stuck at the laundrymat (ie: health problems), and not being able to get the load done (ie: get the healing you need). About wishing for someone who you know could make it better for you, my boyfiend…Dr. Djamal…About being a neverending victim of the mill…(ie:political abuse).

UPSTAIRS, DOWNSTAIRS...
by JaneAParisGoddamned dog, just kill it and put everyone out of their misery / including the dog…thank you…
About the ups and down of life, and the frustration of having to put up with others creating these for you when there are already enough of them in life anyway. About political hatred, abuse and cages. About labels, self-identity, and self-worth. About wanting to give up because you are tired.

NOW I LIE ME DOWN TO SLEEP
by JaneAParisI am not cruel to them, in their minds and souls / so why do they prey on me / I do not understand / all I know for sure, is that it is not …
This is about political persecution and harrassment. One of their favorite tools is to abuse their target sexually. It is an easy hit, especially if their target is an attractive woman. They wrap you up in your own human history, and tell you that you are guilty for it, when being sexual should be a normal human function, they make it a crime. They dredge things up from the past, and play them over and over again, until they make you sick. They are master manipulators, and master controllers. And they never let you go to sleep…or at least anything that would be considered a good nights rest and dreams…only catnaps.

TALKING TO THE COMPUTER

I don’t want to play the game anymore…
