/ Mousepads in Zazzle / / / Feedback / Sarah:“Hi – I got my laminated print of ‘The Show must be Stopped’ today and it’s fantastic – such a cracking good work of art – thanks again”_ / / / MCN: C90A3-645E0-856EB / / © Imber 2007. • Surrealistic Digital Art / / _“Let there be light” is an English translation of the Hebrew יְהִי אוֹר (yehiy ‘or). Other translations of the same phrase include the Latin phrase fiat lux, and the Greek phrase γενηθήτω φώς (or genēthētō phōs). The phrase is often used for its metaphorical meaning of dispelling ignorance. The phrase comes from the third verse of the book of Genesis in the King James Bible: 1:1 – In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth. / 1:2 – And the earth was without form, and void; and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the Spirit of God moved upon the face of the waters. / 1:3 – And God said, Let there be light: and there was light. / 1:4 – And God saw the light, that it was good: and God divided the light from the darkness._ / / Pair with… / / / / / MCN: CCB37-A1E56-16AAA / / © Imber 2007. • Surrealistic Digital Art / / 1st place in the Altered by Design Group – Apples Challenge. / / Does life have a purpose? Does it have real meaning? Is life anything more than a brief span on earth, with nothing but eternity on either side of this physical existence? What Is Your Destiny? This is the question of the ages, a riddle that has challenged human beings since they came to be. Why am I here? Why do I exist? Every one us was created for a purpose, but few understand what that great purpose is. / / Mousepads in Zazzle / / / Feedback / “It is a great pleasure owning a wonderful piece of art created by you” / / “Imber, / I love your talent. • The Huldra is a creature in Scandanavian Myth that takes on the appearance of a beautiful young woman so it can lure it’s male victims into the forest (with the promise of kinky sex no doubt!) where she devours them.. The Huldra is a shapeshifter and often is in a “inbetween” stage where half of her torso is a hollowed out tree..which she can slip in and out of as need be… Technical stuff for all you PhotoShop geeks – This took approximately 12 hours to do and has 27 layers (several of those layers are “adjustment layers” (especially using “curves”)as well as the usual texture and color overlays..) / All photographs used (model, forest background, tree trunk ,vines, and textures) were shot by me – absolutely no stock images used…

I said dance for me fancuilla gentile, / I said laugh awhile I can make your heart feel, / I said fly with me touch the face of the true god, / and then cry with joy at the depth of my love. ‘cause I’ve prayed days, and I’ve prayed nights, / for the lord to just to send me home some sign, / I’ve looked long and I’ve looked far, / bring peace to my black and empty heart…” -Harvey

  • A collaboration between myself and Adrian Carmody We both got to model and photograph each other. Our theme was based on 1940s Gangster / Film Noir. We sourced the props and costuming as best as we could and finally made a date to shoot this in the studio. 4 hours of role play, laughs and a bundle of photos to play with afterward! This image is also showcased in the 2009 calendar (click image to view the calendar) / Hilarious illustrated version.

  • Computers are pretty much part of our lives now but I remember the horror of the first Win 95 window pop up and seeing FATAL ERROR. ...I totally freaked and was ready to take the computer back to the department store for a refund…before a friend gently and laughingly explained what was going on…....but I never got over that “in your face” feeling of Fatal Error and Fatal Exception. / ..I mean why Fatal ….., that’s so fatal, why not some cute character like me popping up saying, “Don’t Stress Darlink, but we have to close for a bit” And what about “Illegal Operation”...I swear the first time it happened I thought the stormtroopers were going to break down the front door! I really think Bill and his team could have put a little more thought into the trauma windows 95 could cause before inflicting it on the public. / Available as a card, print and poster. / Image copyright © 2008 Shanina Conway. / Copying and displaying or redistribution of this image without permission from the artist is strictly prohibited /

  • A metaphorical representation of when one feels an attraction that they know is wrong, doomed, and futile, where the only certainty is that someone is going to get hurt, where the allure is so compelling that all sensible judgment is ignored… Pictured is a Naïve little bomb that has unexpectedly spotted a naked flame. It’s eyes are transfixed on the burning glow and the wick has begun to instinctively move towards it…....... What next??? Scotty (。◕‿‿◕。)

  • Surrealistic Digital Art / / 1st place in the In Another World…. group – Circles Challenge. / / Mousepads in Zazzle / / / Insight into my work / / / Even when we are living in the present we try and analyze everything with reference to the past and when we plan or think about the future we use past as a background for all our projections. We are here we want to be there – we always think with the past in mind. Even when we try to understand something new we try to refer it to past theories, facts, formula and then try to put meaning to the new experience. And this is where we become blind to new ideas, concepts, theories etc. / / / MCN:CVTGD-2VTX5-WQM11 © Imber 2009. • First artwork in a new series I am working on inspired by the book Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland. In this iconic image, a beautiful but dangerous Queen of Hearts as femme fatale draws her finger across her throat to signify her threatening intentions. “The Queen had only one way of settling all difficulties, great or small. ‘Off with his head!’ she said, without even looking round.” / -Lewis Carroll, “Alice’s Adventures in Wonderland “ Original artwork measures 19×25 inches, mixed media on gray Strathmore watercolor paper. This artwork took about twelve hours to complete over a two-day period. View more of my artwork at http://www.lynnetteshelley.com
