  • have always wanted to capture a big plane landing but could never be there at the right time or having the wind blowing in the right direction. The low clouds helps bring the plane closer than usual….i could almost touch it….hahhah. To see a hugh metal flying over you at approx. 200kph is…...priceless. The jetfuel, the noise…...Perfect. I am NOT a plane enthusiast , but it is fascinating to watch. Sydney “Kingsford Smith” Airport Boeing 747 landing train plane truck car chair Transportation

  • Enjoy!

  • Me again, sorry!

  • This was my 3 year old daughters first time playing in the rain. It was so amazing to watch her delight . I think we can all relate to tilting our faces up towards the the sky, trying to catch the rain as it falls on our cheeks. FOR PAY IT FORWARD: “Nominated by- Danae Leach” / “what she wrote“ “This is one of my most faves. I love children so much and their innocence, pure happiness and complete faith in all things good and magical. I remember when I used to be little and I loved being out in the summer rains”

  • Photograph “to see a video of Israel Kamakawiwo’Ole” CLICK This is a photograph I took of my youngest daughter. When my daughters were younger, we used to tell Faery stories at bed time and take turns adding to the story. The stories were very long and often times they would be very revealing, these were happy memories for us so…….. I wanted to capture what one of those characters might have looked like, she was a Tree Faery and her hair was a birds nest, egg included.

  • This was used for a (hypothetical) Vivienne Westwood print ad for the perfume Anglomania. Photography, Art Direction and Post-production work by me. Hair and makeup by me, Model is … me :P I was going for 18th Century English Aristocracy with a modern twist and a bit of sass, which I believe the Vivianne Westwood brand encompasses.

  • My entry into the fashion photo competition / Thanks to my darling friend Caitlin for being my model

  • I saw this woman as i wandered through a Rwandan hospital. There, in the stark hospital room, she sat admiring this tiny creature with such love and gentleness. Her contentment of knowing that this tiny baby was hers. / I could not resist but to capture it.

  • Summer Time! © Cadence Gamache

  • my sister at her wedding (23.6.07)… / To achieve the soft focus on this photo I add a guassian blur to one of the channels (can’t remember which one), changed to sepia and then added a ‘soft light’ blending layer also a little dodging and burning… v. simple!

  • Someone (not from RB) remarked that they didn’t like the way I photographed my children in such dark tones and they felt children should be photographed in colour – they felt it captured childhood better – maybe they have a point – but I photograph this way to try and capture either a timelessness or the spirit of the moment – anyway, I haven’t listen and i have made an earlier image even darker – just did a bit of dodging and burning.

  • This shot has a bit of a story behind it, I was with a group of fellow photographers on what we call a Ferry Hop expedition. Basically we spend the day or most of it, riding the Sydney Ferries to different destinations taking photos on board and where ever we disembark. On this particular outing a few of my fellow photographers and I decided to issue a challenge, walk up to perfect strangers and ask for to take their photo. This was only the second person I ask after the challenge was issued. This lovely gentleman had a great face, a lovely white and gray beard and looked just the part for a nautical theme. As it happens when I approached him, we were nearing a replica tall ship and the Darling Harbour light house (scene in the background). Well all the elements just fell into place, and I only took two shots but I knew I had bag a great image, I thanked the Sea Captain as I’ve now called him, showed him the image and let him travel the rest of the trip in peace. I’m considering entering this in the portrait section of the Real Photography compeition, while it may be a little unconventional, it’s one of my favourite portraits (and most the others my wife won’t let me post as they are pictures of her).

  • four sand clocks / self portrait

  • Same view everyday. Wish they’d point me somewhere interesting. I mean… how hard would it be to leave my frame pointed at some wonder of the world? But no.. I have to spend my life looking at the kitchen. I rarely bother to look out now. Hardly seems worth the effort.
