Pin-up shoot of Model Melina May for Caustic Truths magazine ( www.caustictruths.com )
Shot taken for the clothing store Velvetelvis.
Photographer: Alf Caruana
Model – Meluxine This is about as ghetto as studio-esque lighting gets. / It’s called daylight. / I know, weird hey. And it’s so cheap it’s scary. Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas ps. if you happen to own/know of this ‘pasta’, I would strongly advise against trying to eat it. The model’s only just getting her taste buds back.
Model – Mishkamink Regina Corvidae – a rare and gifted species, showing specific tendancies towards makeup, fashion and nocturnal behaviour. And Nick Cave. Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas
Model – Halohid / Hair/MUA – Mishkamink Full crop is on dA, but I really liked this tight cropped version too so I thought I’d share it with you guys. If you’re interested you can see the full image here Copyright 2008 Harmony Nicholas

Models: Amber and Rayne / Makeup and Hair: Loran Bean / Assistants: Elleni and Adam Shot next door to where my new studio will be in Brisbane! We were locked out today, so used another room lol! Titled this way because Adam said it looked like one! About the shot: I rarely work with artificial light, mainly because I only have one flash in my kit. But today Elleni lent me her two Ellinchroms :) / This shot in particular had one light on low power coming over Rayne’s shoulder, and a bit of natural light from a window on Amber, diffused through a filter. I wanted some intense shadows for this one, and was hard to get it right. But I a pretty pleased with the results. / / Comments are appreciated
I copyright 2009 / quote by Marilyn Monroe / of course if you didn’t recognise her you have been living under a rock. I did this shoot in college for a portrait project where we had to recreate famous portraits. I chose to remake this one http://web.naplesnews.com/ceandw/122006/images/cal_MarilynBallerina.jpg / I got help with the lighting set up then I adjusted it and took it. My second time with studio lighting !! I got my make up done in the makeup department and the wig there to. / I wanted to do it properly. / canon 1000d
