Bank holiday….what do you do? As a sub contractor for a bank, I gladly accepted a day off and headed for the hills. Woke up really early and traveled out to the outskirts of Sydney. Had a great few hours of photography. I took this pretty early as the suns rays hit the golden grass, melt the frost and you get this view…. There is a farm in New Minas, Nova Scotia called Noggin’s Farm. This farm has a fantastic farmers market and a set of trails that lead to local pieces of history. One of the trails also leads to a bald eagle nest where there are currently two baby bald eagles. Although I didn’t get a shot of the eagles, I did get a nice reflection of the building. I’ll catch the bald eagles another day!

I loved the abstract image created by the curve of the road as it cut through this field in rural Belgium. I was high up in the observation tower of a boat lift at the time which gave me the aerial perspective.

I envisioned this shot with the model in the lower right a bit more. My photographer daughter had other ideas. Anyone have any cropping suggestions without losing a lot of background? Is the girl too centered? Need some input on this one if you can spare the time.
