This is Hope my Lurcher, on a snowy febuary day in 2007, she wasn’t that keen on the weather but did oblige me with this quirky shot. I have another Lurcher called Grace as well as Rubicon and Renegade the Ferrets who complete the team, Hope has the nose for finding quarry and Grace has the speed to fill my freezer. Here are the two dogs playing in the snow.

A winter panorama shot of the valley Valldal on the west coast of Norway, taken during the christmas holiday. Stitched together of 15 pictures. Post-processing: / Stitched some pictures together, obviously. Fixed the contrast with curves, added a lighter curve only on the lower part as the valley was pretty dark, and the mountain tops really light. Added two black and white layers set to hard light (140%), mainly on the sky and the mountain tops.

ORIGINAL FOR SALE $1399 plus P&H Pen and Ink on smooth surfaced paper. Can’t remember what type – walked into the artshop and ran my fingers over the surface until I found one I liked, with the gsm to match. The picture won the Jean Eales Memorial Prize, three firsts in various divisions and best in show. The four alpacas are from my friends farm and are as individualistic as the picture portrays. The big black one at the front, Zack, has covered me with green slime on more than one occasion! Featured in Extreme Close-Ups August 19, 2009. Looks Best Full Size I fell deeply, madly, wildly in love with this sweet darling baby calf at Ann Rodriguez’s farm when The Keystone Group visited recently. What struck me as I viewed the image in the monitor was the reflection of one of the trucks (cars?) in her eye. And I wondered … was she planning her escape??? Ahhh … but for opposable thumbs … what a different world this might be for her … for us all. No beef for me tonight. Pass me a piece of fish instead, please. Image taken on August 8, 2009 near Manheim, PA with the Nikon D300 and the 18-200mm vr Nikon lens. Shutter was 1/200, aperture f/7.1, exp -.33, iso 3200. Slight cropping in Photoshop only.
