I took this shot from the Windsor turf farms today while following a storm which hit about 5 minutes later.. It is an HDR shot and I think HDR was the right choice as it shows details in both the sky and landscape.. / I have always wanted to try and get a storm shot while down at the turf farms because the scene just looks so typically australian to me.. / I decided to include the gate to break up the scene a bit and add something more to view than just turf and the sky.. / Anyway as usual all comments and/or thoughts are welcome.. / Thanks for having a look! I’ve been playing with this shot for way too long. I’ve done about 8 versions and can’t decide which one, if any, I like best. This is the one I’m posting…any feedback would be great – you know how it is when you overwork something – can’t see the good bits through all of the annoying bits. / / / Camera: FujiFilm FinePix S7000 / Location: Tumut in the Land of Oz / / ISO200 / f/8 / 4.0sec exposure / R72 filter / Tripod / / POSTSCRIPT / / After reading everyones comments, I’m changing my opinion of this pic now. I’ve looked at the other 7 versions and this one is definately the best, actually by a long way so I’m glad I persisted with it…I think I’m happy with it now….and besides my limited photoshopping skills have run out – I wouldn’t know what else to do with it anyway….lol

About and hour and a half south of Melbourne lies Inverloch. A fishing and boating town it is surrounded by green rolling hills and beautiful farmland. It seems it’s one of the few places in Victoria where it still rains. / – Dog photography – Africa photography / - Beach photography - Black & white photography – Dog photography – Africa photography / - Beach photography - Monotone photography

Surrounded by spectacular views across wooded valleys and situated in a quiet and remote area of Mid Wales, this derelict farmhouse made me envious of its former occupants ….. no doubt, they struggled to make a living and had to submit to the inevitable ….. such a waste ….. Yesterday’ s dreams / Like birds in the winter / Have gathered together / And flown to the sun / Yesterday’ s promises / Like shells in the ocean / All shattered and broken / Like yesterday’ s dreams / / Written for Nana Miskouri Image copyright 2008 Richie Dean / Machynlleth, Wales, UK. / Photoshop CS3
