  • Horse enjoying running on a foggy winter morning at Tilly Foster Farm in Carmel, NY.

  • I finally found the tractor I have been looking for. I saw this old antique from the road and thankfully had my camera in tow. I braved the 3 feet of snow and frigid Newfoundland winds but I finally got my shot I’d been waiting to get. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / /

  • This was taken on a late afternoon when I’d just escaped the office following a particularly fraught encounter with an unpleasant person. Ahh…wonderful the way photography can be an escape sometimes! I had gone for a drive just to clear my head and was driving along a country road on this windy, cold day when there was a sudden blizzard. It was severe enough there were whiteout conditions but the amazing thing about it was the way it was so isolated. I drove out of it within about two minutes. When I doubled back along a parallel road I drove right back into the blizzard again and all of a sudden the sun shone through a break in the clouds. It was quite an extraordinary sight. I stopped the car to see if I could get a picture of it and was almost blinded by the 60 km. per hour winds blowing snow into my eyes….and worse, the camera! :-) Location: Halton Hills, Ontario

  • A winter panorama shot of the valley Valldal on the west coast of Norway, taken during the christmas holiday. Stitched together of 15 pictures. Post-processing: / Stitched some pictures together, obviously. Fixed the contrast with curves, added a lighter curve only on the lower part as the valley was pretty dark, and the mountain tops really light. Added two black and white layers set to hard light (140%), mainly on the sky and the mountain tops.

My son`s works (CLICK) FOVORITES of My Category`s (CLICK PHOTOS): Landscapes Portraits Nudes Compositions Flowers Winters Collaborations Fogs . ABOUT MY EXHIBITION The woks exhibited represent the linkup of two artists, a photographer and a sculptor. Such an attempt to blend two spheres of art is really innovative and a bit unexpected. There had been few who were successful in such an attempt. Both authors, blending their art by the means of the photo art, are the winners. Sculpture, as such, is rather a static art, sometimes “performing” in a specific, sometimes artificial, environment. However, the means of the plastic photography, seemingly, make the sculptures movable, dynamic; they make you feel the sculptures are moving. They become alive, start moving and react both to the environment and the views captured by the photographer. I would like the viewers also note the colour solutions of the photos, aimed at the strengthening of the overall impression of the imagery. The original blend and overlapping of two arts let see the impressive plastic metaphors, giving birth to various associations. CLICK PHOTO IF YOU WANT VIEW /

Although many think this is a black and white image with selective color, it is actually a color image taken on a stark, wintry day in northern Vermont If the phone doesn’t ring, it’s me.” – song title by Jimmy Buffett Here are a couple more of my favorite quotes: I don’t answer the phone. I get the feeling whenever I do that there will be someone on the other end. -Fred Couples Marriage is like a phone call in the night: first the ring, and then you wake up. -Evelyn Hendrickson ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Please don’t copy or download this image. • . i m a g i n a t i o n . . .© Vicki Ferrari YOUR TIME MAY BE LIMITED BUT YOUR IMAGINATION IS NOT / Anonymous QUILPIE TRAX— This series was created when I was having a difficult time and found that all my reserves seemed to point me in a creative direction, and didn’t I have fun with it! If you are ever not coping with life, be creative! It brings you out of the doldrums in a big way! The satisfaction of seeing something that you created is a wonderful feeling. I hope that this feeling comes across in these series, created in December 2008. Has anyone else noticed how much this person Anonymous wrote & no-one seems to know where he lived, what he looked like?! He was so talented, wasn’t he?! This photograph of Queensland Railway Tracks was taken in February 2005. It is taken in the morning between Quilpie and Charleville, looking west. There is more to come in this series, still being created! This card (graphics) were designed in December 2008, using Photoshop. If purchasing as a motivational, inspirational or greeting card, the BLACK background blends is well with the black border. It is available up to POSTER size, if that is your desire! I only hope that you find this as inspiring as I found it when creating it! Tech Data / Nikon D70s

  • The winds were really whipping up the snow the day I took this. It was the same day I took Blizzard Sunset and the sky was most unusual with bits of sun filtering through the snow and clouds. HollyCawfieldPhotography

  • ...an escape from their stalls and paddock! With their eye-catching flaxen manes and tails flowing the two full brothers, Dewey and Lewey, gallop through the snow on a brisk winter afternoon. Dewey and Lewey are Haflinger ponies a breed that originated in Austria. Kind tempered, sturdy and workmanlike they have been described as ” a prince in front, a peasant behind” .

  • This is Geronimo, my neighbor. Taken just behind the house last winter when we moved here from town. And WHAT a view! Although it was snowing when I took this, snow effects are added… as are Night Effects. I took this by daylight. Geronimo has since moved away but there are many other horses on the ranch. Doc, his father, has this paddock now. Featured in AMERICAS – Rural, Urban, Wild, Free Featured in PHOTO MANIPULATORS Featured in SIMPLY HORSES

  • “Lost” continues the story of four friends who set out for a Christmas weekend in the country…in the first chapter, seen HERE the friends’ day starts out joyfully, but soon deteriorates along with the weather, and they quickly become lost... Watercolour on Saunders Not Paper A moment or two of stunned silence, as it slowly dawned on us that we had no idea where we were…it was the days before Mapquest and GPS and cell phones…we-were-lost…the day was getting rapidly darker as the last of the pallid sun sank behind the hills…Dahlia started to whimper and Mark, never at his best in a crisis told her to shut up, at which she burst into tears…there was no help for it…we would have to get out and walk until we found shelter somewhere…at this suggestion Dahlia’s whimpers turned into yells…she had no boots, only thin shoes suitable for city streets…hearing this Mark completely lost his temper….Dahlia always drove him mad…one wonders why he repeatedly sought her out…after calming them both down I said I felt sure (not really), that the area looked somewhat familiar and there would be a farm or something nearby…after some argument, and taking as much as we could carry, we set off, Dahlia wearing a pair of Tom’s boots which were too large for her, all the while sobbing that we should stay with the car… / The road stretched ahead, bleak and desolate, here and there, patches of gleaming ice set to trap the unwary traveller, hill upon hill rising behind…a rocky terrain that did not bode well for anyone trying to negotiate it…not a creature stirred and no bird sang…the wind blew stinging ice pellets at our faces, and in no time our gloves and feet were soaked…but there were ancient dry stone walls edging the road..a sign that somewhere nearby would be shelter…..we turned a corner…”.LOOK” I cried..Janis Z..Fiction..A Weekend in the Country..Ch.2 Lost.. / A Weekend in the Country
