Heavy cold blue grey fog on cattle pasture in the Macendon Ranges.I liked the iconic windmill and how the cattle were just emerging out of the heavy fog. / Taken on Fuji S2 Pro
Fine rain falls over green rolling farm lands in the Southern Flinders Ranges. / As I travel along my eyes constantly scan the landscape looking for photo oportunities. / As was case here Iwhenshooting in the rain…drove my 4wd up over an embankment and framed the image by positioning the 4wd…I then wound down the window and shot this horizontal image,up with window to wipe the lens dry and then a vertical followed. I have lost count of the times I have used this technique to great advantage.
Rain falls on dry sunburnt fields in rural landscape with skimming sunlight forming two rainbows of colour.
Simple and common sight of a stand of not to healthy trees and a windmill on a farm pasture, brought to life by a summer ground fog at surise.

An Inconvenient Truth inspired me to create this piece. / TIPS TO REDUCE GREENHOUSE EMISSIONS: / 1) Don’t drive to work/school, walk/drive to your nearest bus or train station instead. / 2) Turn off your mains of your PC, laptop, TV, DVD player etc before you go to bed – you have no idea how much power this consumes. / 3) Don’t turn on unnecessary lighting. Buy energy saver lighting. / 4) Think twice about fuel economy/CO2 emissions over performance vehicles. / 5) Recyclables go into the recyclable bin. / 6) Buy energy saver appliances if you can afford it. / - – - / MORE WORKS FROM MY PORTFOLIO /
Cornwall is fast becoming the wind farm county. This is a windfarm on the north coast at Delabole. Hundreds of these are dotted over the county and I tried to capture the farm without making it look like the blight it is on the landscape. Many more of these are being proposed and opposed, fueling the debate on sustainable energy over eyesore.
As the drought worsens in Australia, our hope for water rests on the windmills. But even they are dry.
“Homeward Bound” Photography & Artwork / by Holly Kempe © A cattle property at Marlborough, Queensland “Bind me not to the pasture, chain me not to the plow. / Set me free to find my calling and I’ll return to you somehow. / If you find it me you’re missing, if you’re hoping I’ll return. / To your thoughts I’ll soon be listening, and on the road I’ll stop and turn. / Then the wind will set me racing as my journey nears its end. / And the path I’ll be retracing when I’m homeward bound again.” / ~ Kaelyn Archer
I saw a lone Kingfisher sitting in a tree … the oportunity to photograph this beautiful bird was fantastic and as I was doing my usual click and walk to get closer and still closer I realised the windmill was slowly looming into shot I dropped to my knees and moved the camera around and there it was….couldnt believe how it made me feel…hope you enjoy it too Sacred Kingfisher – Halcyon sancta / Found in the better watered and wooded parts of australia For more images of cozmist: / Busselton Jetty Images / Christmas Cards / Dogs / Birds / Scenery / Creatures
A stunning Scottish sunset behind a wind farm near Thurso on Scotlands North coast. The low lying fog really sets the turbines off. One of my favourites.

The road to cloud nine, where our new attitude energy is supposed to come from.
I drive by this windmill almost every day, twice a day, on my 40 mile commute to work in southwest Iowa. I kept waiting for the background and the lighting to be just right. I think today was it. This had some post processing in Photoshop. A little tweak to the color and contrast, but this is pretty much what I saw today with the setting sun hitting the blades of the windmill and bare cornfield. / Canon EOS 10D / EF-S 18-55 / 1/80 at f16 / ISO 200

Won the One Plus Sky challenge – November 8, 2009 Photo taken July 19, 2009 at the Kent Hills Wind Farm just outside Moncton, New Brunswick. It currently consists of 32 wind turbines. These things are huge! I climbed the stairs to the service door and looked up. This is probably my favourite shot of the day because these 2 blades look like arms embracing the wind and (hopefully) the future of better energy sustainability. One of the turbines recently caught fire, causing approximately $5 000 000 in damage.

Sunset on Ninghan Station, Western Australia. The Australian outback is vast and electricity is not available in many areas. The water tank and a windmill are used on remote properties for pumping underground water to the surface. / Captured with Nikon D300. /
