  • Old Oak tree has lost all its original limbs but recently sprouted a new top.

  • This is Hope my Lurcher, on a snowy febuary day in 2007, she wasn’t that keen on the weather but did oblige me with this quirky shot. I have another Lurcher called Grace as well as Rubicon and Renegade the Ferrets who complete the team, Hope has the nose for finding quarry and Grace has the speed to fill my freezer. Here are the two dogs playing in the snow.

  • I finally found the tractor I have been looking for. I saw this old antique from the road and thankfully had my camera in tow. I braved the 3 feet of snow and frigid Newfoundland winds but I finally got my shot I’d been waiting to get. / / Visit my website On The Rock Photography / /

  • This was taken on a late afternoon when I’d just escaped the office following a particularly fraught encounter with an unpleasant person. Ahh…wonderful the way photography can be an escape sometimes! I had gone for a drive just to clear my head and was driving along a country road on this windy, cold day when there was a sudden blizzard. It was severe enough there were whiteout conditions but the amazing thing about it was the way it was so isolated. I drove out of it within about two minutes. When I doubled back along a parallel road I drove right back into the blizzard again and all of a sudden the sun shone through a break in the clouds. It was quite an extraordinary sight. I stopped the car to see if I could get a picture of it and was almost blinded by the 60 km. per hour winds blowing snow into my eyes….and worse, the camera! :-) Location: Halton Hills, Ontario

  • A winter panorama shot of the valley Valldal on the west coast of Norway, taken during the christmas holiday. Stitched together of 15 pictures. Post-processing: / Stitched some pictures together, obviously. Fixed the contrast with curves, added a lighter curve only on the lower part as the valley was pretty dark, and the mountain tops really light. Added two black and white layers set to hard light (140%), mainly on the sky and the mountain tops.

  • Presentation of my poetry book You may also purchase my second poetry book / (I could send it for you by post) THE LAST WORKS (CLIKC IMAGE FOR VIEW) / . / / . My son`s works (CLICK) FOVORITES of My Category`s (CLICK PHOTOS): Landscapes Portraits Nudes Compositions Flowers Winters Collaborations Fogs . ABOUT MY EXHIBITION The woks exhibited represent the linkup of two artists, a photographer and a sculptor. Such an attempt to blend two spheres of art is really innovative and a bit unexpected. There had been few who were successful in such an attempt. Both authors, blending their art by the means of the photo art, are the winners. Sculpture, as such, is rather a static art, sometimes “performing” in a specific, sometimes artificial, environment. However, the means of the plastic photography, seemingly, make the sculptures movable, dynamic; they make you feel the sculptures are moving. They become alive, start moving and react both to the environment and the views captured by the photographer. I would like the viewers also note the colour solutions of the photos, aimed at the strengthening of the overall impression of the imagery. The original blend and overlapping of two arts let see the impressive plastic metaphors, giving birth to various associations. CLICK PHOTO IF YOU WANT VIEW /

  • Lost in Utah would have been a more apt title after the GPS affectionately known as “Dorothy” lead me to a graveyard instead of a lake lol. I discovered some gorgeous countryside along route. There is nothing better than getting lost :))

  • This image was featured in the group, JPG Cast-Offs on January 17, 2009. Although many think this is a black and white image with selective color, it is actually a color image taken on a stark, wintry day in northern Vermont If the phone doesn’t ring, it’s me.” – song title by Jimmy Buffett Here are a couple more of my favorite quotes: I don’t answer the phone. I get the feeling whenever I do that there will be someone on the other end. -Fred Couples Marriage is like a phone call in the night: first the ring, and then you wake up. -Evelyn Hendrickson ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Please don’t copy or download this image. • The winds were really whipping up the snow the day I took this. It was the same day I took Blizzard Sunset and the sky was most unusual with bits of sun filtering through the snow and clouds. HollyCawfieldPhotography

  • ...an escape from their stalls and paddock! With their eye-catching flaxen manes and tails flowing the two full brothers, Dewey and Lewey, gallop through the snow on a brisk winter afternoon. Dewey and Lewey are Haflinger ponies a breed that originated in Austria. Kind tempered, sturdy and workmanlike they have been described as ” a prince in front, a peasant behind” .

  • This is Geronimo, my neighbor. Taken just behind the house last winter when we moved here from town. And WHAT a view! Although it was snowing when I took this, snow effects are added… as are Night Effects. I took this by daylight. Geronimo has since moved away but there are many other horses on the ranch. Doc, his father, has this paddock now. Featured in AMERICAS – Rural, Urban, Wild, Free Featured in PHOTO MANIPULATORS Featured in SIMPLY HORSES
