Now, here is a good story….I was out photographing some old buildings on a rustic Norwegian farm one sunny spring morning and my eye caught these old wool long johns flying in the wind on the clothesline. I stopped in my tracks…fascinated by the sight. All I could think of was how they looked like they were dancing with joy – happy to finally be set free out in the fresh spring air. It took me a lot of convincing to talk the elderly farm wife into letting me take this shot. She was horrified at the thought, but graciously accepted my creative eccentricity in the end, shaking her head and mumbling all the while. .....They look like they are on a backdrop, but that is the blue sky…..really!

This image was featured by Tamela in the Georgia group during the months of September & October 2008. Location: Cave Spring, Georgia After a long day of hauling hay on our farm, my husband had already taken the other tractor to the barn. I lingered in the field a little longer in my tractor, camera ready and waiting for sunset. When the skies began to glow, I parked the tractor at the top and then ran down to the bottom of the hill to compose this shot. ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ Please don’t copy or download this image. The Farm is a scenic view of one of the many farms on the rural outskirts of Canberra. Behind the scenes / Often, images are born of hard work, careful planning and a lot of patience. Sometimes though, a wonderful scene will appear by chance. It was late in the day when a storm front came over forming some striking cloud formations over the pale brown landscape. The subdued light and limited colours made for a scene similar to a pastel painting. / Canon 1Ds mkIII | EF 100-400mm Artwork / The soft pastel tones and simple composition of this work make it a fantastic addition to your decor. Let The Farm be a window into a peaceful landscape as a framed print or enjoy its’ simple beauty as a canvas. © 2008 A Spence. All Rights Reserved
