Sheep with lambs on fresh green meadow
Grazing sheep within the Forest Of Bowland.
one beautiful scene after another flashed by as we sped along the tracks heading up into the german alps… this time we were lucky enough to catch that glimpse of oberau village in the distance . / Featured in “The Alps” calendar. .
Using my live drawing from a farm visit as the model, I etched a plate using the acid bath – the drawing was rendered with a stylus through a blocking medium that was “painted” all over the plate to control the bite before placing in the bath, but I continued to draw through the block even while the plate was in the bath for some small details. I pulled the print that is photographed here with oil-based black ink, Somerset Velvet paper. / Some of these pulls, (the actual “real” prints), are available for sale as well. They of course vary wildly as a result of the variables involved in pulling a print from a plate by hand, but that is one of the reasons that such a print is considered an actual independant and integral work of art in contrast to other prints that are essentially reproductions. Not only is the edition limited by real physical contsraints, but beyond that there is the fact that each print in the edition is in fact a true and independent work of art, whether it is from an edition of twenty four (my own drypoints occur in editions of that number or far less) or an edition of one hundred (a well-prepared and cared-for zinc plate is capable of being employed for as many as that, but not much more, and not without visible changes in the plate). / I know that anyone who has used the family car and a couple of planks to take the place of a printing press will appreciate what I am getting at, LOL.
Spring in New Zealand ... These two lambs posed beautifully against the lush green grass almost mirroring each others movement. And of course, they’re incredibly cute (although not as cute as this photo)!
This old shack has went thru hell, but refuses to give up lol.

“I have faced it, a life wasted / I’m never going back again / Oh I escaped it, a life wasted / I’m never going back again / Having tasted, a life wasted / I’m never going back again / Oh I erased it, a life wasted / I’m never going back again” - Pearl Jam ______ Captured inside an old homestead – Waterville, Wa.
With just a hint of a smile, this goat is just one of many, taken in Cyprus at the families farm. They had all just been milked (the family make the most delicious Halloumi Cheese. About 10 minutes later, they were let loose on the hills, and you could not see them at all, within another 10 minutes. Cyprus Calendar: :
Farm life looks very appealing … as long as you are not the one working it. These people work very hard. I have much respect for the these hard working people. These farms do look so inviting. / Their horse work the farm and are their transportation. They are some of the most beautiful animals I have ever seen. /
This setting is along the backroads of Townsend, Tn. The peaceful side of the Smokies / The colors are rocking in my little hometown. So instead of heading into the park, again I decided to go on the backroads of home. / I thought about titling this shot, “it’s a cow’s life” lol / As I was laying on the hill to get the right angle, never thought about keeping an eye out of what is around me, imagine my surprize when I looked up and over to the side, I see a bull and a calf checking me out! Probably wondering, ok, what is this idiot doing, and why is he laying on our yard? lol I shot this in SS priorty, SS at 1/100, F-stop at 22, ISO at 200, Exposure comp at -0.07 and focal length at 28mm.
