  • Decayed rusty tractor.

  • This is a dust covered old and unloved Spanish olive press, which is in the barn at the stables where I keep my horse. Fasintating and made mostly from wood. Just collecting dust, amongst the tack and horse feed!

  • Various vehicles and farm equipment in various states of decrepitude, nestled in the clover behind my grandfather`s shed. You wouldn`t believe what was all back there…i sure didn`t but that`s a story for another day… touched this one up in photoshop to create distinct textures and add sharpness to the foliage.

  • A series of the International Harvester tractor – inspired by Craig Morgan’s “International Harvester”... good song, too! ;) “If you don’t like the way I’m a drivin’ / Get back on the interstate / Otherwise sit tight and be nice / And quit yer honkin’ at me that way..”

  • Image of an old caster from a Papec Machine, dating back to about 1923. These machines served on farms as ensilage cutters and were produced in Shortsville, NY. Light HDR processing applied to pull out some of the texture in the rust. /

  • Barn and old farm equipment. July 2008 Shot taken at Threshermen’s Village beside the Chilliwack Heritage Park in Chilliwack, Canada, 2008, with my Kodak Easy Share camera.

  • http://www.philadelphia33.org/ Taken while traveling to an isolated village in Nigeria. These people cause so much hurt to the locals. Child sacrifice, although greatly diminished, is still practiced in some areas. They manipulate the people and use fear and superstition as a way to control the people and earn a living for themselves. I have seen it many times and their power is destructive if left unchallenged. Medical and herbal doctors can do good. But Full Blown Witchdoctors practice dark medicine that only causes hurt and death, especially to children. As a missionary, working within villages, I have seen children demonstrated by people and in some cases killed. I shared Jesus with her, and she is now a Christian. We helped her start a new business selling clothing and other items. 100% of all proceeds from sale of art and donations made via our Charity website, goes towards helping extreme poor in rural and isolated villages in Africa. We continually need vitamins for the villagers, and pre-natal vitamins for mothers-to-be; we need two deep-bore wells to serve our most remote 5 villages, where the water is so fouled by animals that children and adults contract intestinal parasties, including worms that can fill their stomachs as well as intestines. We need trucks large and tough enough to haul this drilling equipment in, (and the following) and we need commercial farm equipment such as rotavators, etc.. We need Toyota Land-rovers (at least one) to get to these remote 5 villages more quickly and more often, and to get our medical personnel in. / -These Toyotas are the only passenger-vehicles proven to hold up under the beating that road-less, trackless desert bush country deals out to vehicles.- / And we need clothing. Lots and lots of clothing in good or new condition. (These things need not be shipped; with donations we can purchase them in big cities in Africa.) / Another way to help, below: / Donate some of your art and save a child’s life! Please visit my Charity Mission Site / http://www.philadelphia33.org/ Camera:* Canon EOS 400D / Lens: Canon 300m zoom / First Things:My first picture of a real witch doctor! / This is Relevent” There is still Child Sacrifice in the world. In Africa, so many have nothing else.
