I have always loved Sea urchins and have always collected them from when i was a child right up into adulthood. They would be the first thing I would look for when I got out of my car and my feet hit the sand on the beach. Suprisingly there arent that many to be found anymore on the beach where I have always gone to find them. sony ax 300 SLR 70 – 200ml lense.

Water from the ocean on a calm morning with no waves around the rock pools. Domes and architecture from buildings around Sydney. These are actually not poplar trees but the nesting colonies of the sociable weavers in the Kalahari desert. The weaver birds build their nests in high trees or in this case man made poles. The nesting material is harvested by local farmers to be sold as an industrial fire retardant and gets it’s color from the nearby Red dunes This image shows a detail. oil on canvas / 120×80 cm / original sold
