The Phantom Anthony Boy I shot this image on June 12, 2008 during my trip to Monterey, CA…….the structure in the background is the Monterey Boat Works…….The Anthony Boy has been “high and dry” for quite a few years and has become a local landmark; her fishing days are long since gone. I have always wanted to do something special with this beautiful old fishing boat and this is the first in what may become a series. I hope you enjoy this image; thank you all for viewing my images. The following is where you can see a photo of the building of the Anthony Boy and the launching…......You will have to copy and paste this. http://www-marine.stanford.edu/boatworks/index.html / Anthony Boy being built [image by Philip Doezema] / Anthony Boy 1966 [image by Philip Doezema] / Anthony Boy at launch [image by Philip Doezema] / / ____ / All The Materials Contained May Not Be Reproduced, Copied, Edited, Published, Transmitted Or Uploaded In Any Way Without My Permission. Dare to dream and risk the nightmare. / The reward is inside us all / The freedom to release your imagination. *Dare To Dream” has been featured in the Digital Art Compilations group, and added to “Dare To Dream” was created in Photoshop using approximately 7 or 8 of my own photos. nearly 40 layers were used at some point or another in the creation process. Each image was on it’s own layer and were blended together through opacity changes, and varying the blend modes. The layers were merged at various stages of the process and then dodging and burning techniques were applied as well as a small amount motion blur where needed. “Dare To Dream” is available in all print formats offered by Redbubble. / / / / Buying “Dare To Dream” as a gift? As I made my ( transitional ) drive from my future back to my past today, I listened to the Alien sounds of the album Oxygene. / From the master himself, Jean Michel Jarre. It is a sound for Earthly ears, with a message from the cosmos, to me its about the search for a new home on another world by a race that as destroyed the one they were given. The search is long and time passes slowly, the new worlds must have the thing we as a species need “Oxygene” / So their search across space may go on for eternity, for they say ” you can never go home again”. / And even when you find that other world, it still is not “home”. So I suppose MY message is…........... ’ Think about what we as a race are doing to our home world, do we really want to have to travel the stars for all eternity, searching for something we already have?................think! I wanted to create an image of what their home world was like before its destruction. So I created this one and called it “Oxygene”

From the highest mountains where the snow doesn’t melt. A predator you have never seen. I, your current reporter, have been able to capture an image of this magnificent animal for you to see. The former reporter, it seems, walked into the pride and joined them for lunch. Back to you George. Are we off the camera now? Good! Get me out of here! He looks hungry. :o) Created from photos I had taken and combined in Photoshop. I had been reading a fantasy science fiction story and had to try something like this. Not quite what I had in mind, but close enough. :o) Too bad I didn’t have this done in time for the Unconventional Artistry challenge. ;o) Sigh… Featured in: Funny Kritters and Top 10 Finish in the “Funny Composites”, ImageWriting
