2008. Age 21 Drawn with blue biro pen only. This cute little fella is called a ‘Plar’. He’s stuck up that tree! He even wore a winged-hat, but alas, he forgot he was scared of heights. Bless his little cottons. Usually Plars portray themselves elegantly, with a sense of pride and defiance despite their adorably big and alluring eyes. However, as this Plar shows, they are actually small and fragile little creatures who need our love just as much as we need theirs. Lance is my own creation. I have some of his story fleshed out but not all of it. / He’s one of those kind of guys that succeed in most everything he sets out to do. In college he discovered that he had a talent for writing songs, and so took up the guitar. He and a group of friends produced a CD. One of their songs hit the charts and the money rolled in. Being the kind of guy he is he wanted to give back to the community. After college, Lance made some wise investments and played the stock market then bought an apartment complex for needy families. He opened a non profit establishment which helps the needy, ex druggies, and those in abuseive lives get the help they need and jobs to start a new life. He’s a all around good guy who’s kick boxing hobby had earned him many first prize matches, yet he does not believe in violence. / Well sooner or latter every one has to take their lumps, and Lance is no exception. After 5 years of marage to his high school sweetheart, and one 2 year old later. tragedy struck. It couldn’t be something simple, it had to be complicated. His wife and child are killed by a drunk driver. And it doesn’t end there, at their funeral Lance discovers something he wished he had never been born to hear. His faithful wife was not so faithful. / As he walked to the grave sited, he sees another man standing in sorrow. Lance’s kind natured heart goes out to what he thought was a friend of her’s he had yet to meet. But he soon discovers the man is not only her lover, but the real father of her child. She NEVER told the man she was married. Will the humanitarian be able to over come the rage now stirring inside him? Only time will tell. You think your life is odd… You have 4 seemingly stable dimentions / to go about your shopping in… Based on sketches for a Childrens (+ adult childrens) book I am working on. Created from many pen doodles on reverse side of junk recycled band pamphlets (Snow Patrol – YAWN) from my old job… scanned in and some good old photoshopin’ Enjoy trying to find all the little secrets, enjoy watching your friends scratch there academic heads at this one… Makes M C Escher look like an accountant :P Peace skateboard? /

Acrylic On Canvas What if you woke up one day and to your amazement found a tree with all your favourite things growing on your head? It did happen to one girl whose name was Christabel…some said she became a tree eventually….and if you ever see a tree growing with teacups and music notes, that’s her :D / / I have also uploaded another image of this
